I'm at work, so I can't post photos. Instead I will post a couple links to this light.
I have never carried an EDC, because I do not like stuff hanging off me, such as flashlight holsters, or knives. I don't like stuff in my pants pockets unless it's a wallet or keys. It's just me...
I got this light on a whim, from Manafont and I used my reward points to get it. I didn't think much of it, till it showed up today. WOW!
I am really pleasantly surprised of the fit/finish. The ano is good and the fit is excellent. Threads are better than some higher priced lights and with just a touch of light oil and they are smooth as can be. The knurling makes it easy to hold and take apart. The chrome clip is a nice touch.
It has a glass lens. Yes, I said glass. I was amazed at that. The reflector seems to be plastic, but really, on a light this tiny, the reflector is so small, it wouldn't matter. I do not know what the led is. It's not a cree, but I haven't seen one of these leds before and I'm not up on them, so I don't know.
I will say that the beam is really nice. The spot is not as large as I would have thought, seeing as how short the reflector is. Nice spot, very nice smooth spill, with no rings or artifacts. I'm impressed with how much light it puts out, just enough for me, not too much and not too little. It does not have "modes". It's on/off only, but I am old school and don't like modes anyhow. "A flashlight is supposed to just turn on and off by god". (OL quote).
The clip is right at the top end, so the light fits flush in the pocket. It takes 2 AAA batteries. I have two Alkalines in it now, but I will be carrying NiMHs with it. It unscrews in the middle and you slide one battery in each end. It's just the right length for a shirt pocket.
This is the light I have been looking for and it will be my EDC for as long as it lasts, which I imagine will be a good while. I believe it is also made in Red or Blue? Red for sure, Blue I'm not sure about. (I will be getting a Red one too, if I can find it).
If I had to fault anything, it would be the switch. It feels a little too stiff and I would say it's the cheapest part of the light.
I can't wait to get another one and put an XM-L U2 in it.
