I was curious because some have got 2.6A from this driver.
But then everybody has all kind of DMMs and use standard or custom leads.
My lead aren't standard. I use leads that have banana clips on the ends. The wire isn't particularly thick (maybe 16-18ga.) and they are 1m long.
EDIT: I just measured with the stock leads and could barely hit 2.0A.
Further EDIT: I have 2 DMMs, and if I test the resistance of one DMM with the other I get between 0.0 and 0.1 ohm with the banana clip leads and 0.5 ohms with the stock leads.

I tried my X9 with 2X16340 and burned both driver and led. So, because i couldn't find a replacemend led with 32mm board, i sticked an XML with smaller board to the back side of the original 32mm led board.

And this distance with demaged reflector surface. I dont know what happened to the surface. Is it possible because of too much heat dissipated from led?
How does this light compare to the fandyfire stl v6?

if you are asking about X9, it takes 1X18650 already. 18500 is shorter around 17-20 mm then 18650 so, it does not work with X9. STL-V6 has a bigger head, that's why it should be a better thrower if its well driven. What i see about X9, it has different specs from different suppliers. Some can use 2Xcr123 some not(like mine), some well driven but, most not (like mine before changing driver). I hope this is usefull :)
OOps i meant 18650 batteries. I want to buy a good thrower that is still pocketable (16-17cm is about the max)

I think you will find the Trustfire X9 is too large, it is only 40mm shorter (198mm total length) then the STL-V2/V6 (~240mm). Considering the STL-V2/V6s have 65mm's more space in the battery tube you may be better off looking for something shorter yet.
My Trustfire X9 arrived today! First impressions are very good, one thing I have noticed however is that it is well focused at about 2m but beyond that a hole starts to appear in the center of the hotspot. The further away it is aimed the worse it gets. Max I have been able to experience this is at about 7m (indoors) as it is too bright outside. I have found that if I unscrew the driver and emitter module a small amount it fixes it (however the hotspot is very slightly larger because of it). Just from a quick comparison of only the hotspot of the beam it appears about twice as bright as my p60 R5 drop-in (textured reflector) and slightly smaller (R5 at 1A). Outside at night this difference will probably shrink noticeably, but I have a KD 2.8A driver on hand waiting to be re-homed.
The white plastic spacer between LED star and reflector may have been mounted upside down. If correct, it should fit (engage with) the reflector bottom and its hole.
I hope this makes sense.

Yes it does thanks. I just tried turning it around (it is the correct way up already) and this fixes the problem somewhat however only because when the wrong way round it is thicker as it does not slot into the reflector. From some pictures off here it would appear my light has a smaller isolating ring then others. It also has thicker side walls below the LED board then what is pictured on Manafont and DX (much like the picture in Old4570's review).
My Trustfire X9 was purchased from DX ($44.40) and included 2x Trustfire "2500mAh" (blue) 18650s. They look unprotected to me.
