These kind of clamps came up in the L6 topic.
They were kind of expensive so I looked at AliExpress and low and behold, found them for less then half.
ordered one, and it works like a charm.
small AAA size light, SRK clones, they all fit (though the head of a SRK is just too big, anything smaller is fine)
It has rubber pads on the parts clamping down so nothing damages.
In the mean time I saw clamps for about $15,- allowing flashlights to be mounted to things like tripods without using the screw (so beamshots can be made with camera and flashlght on the same tripod.)
Found a double male screw for little money in the same shop where I bought the clamp and decided to order another clamp and that screw.
I figured having the two clamps at a 90 degree angle would be ideal. And was thinking about some washers to get them in that position.
But it just works great as is.
Closing and opening the clamps is smooth.
This means T can provide some pretty heavy lighting if needed:
Thorfire S70 on a small tripod and Convoy L6 on a Sony camera tripod
Did somebody wanted a handle on their larger S70/L6 light with the mode switch easy to reach with the thumb?
And who needs a “little” light during filming?
sorry for the quality of pics, did it with my phone
