Zebralight SC 600 "W" is ready for preorder...!

Sweet, that is exactly what I wanted to hear. I've had one pre-ordered, but no shipping Email yet .

People from the USA are only now getting shipping notices apparently.I'm sure yours will come soon! :)

I’m in the same boat. I bet it will just show up unannounced. Zebralight does some weird things with shipping.

They look to be around 4500-4750K from what I saw on CPF. That's a 4 series tint.

Heard anything from ZL?

Nada. C'mon ZL... I'm getting anxious.

I just noticed that ZL removed the "estimated shipping" notice off of the SC600w page. I have a feeling that there are going to be a massive number of shipping notices going out tomorrow.

Guys when you finally get your lights, please test if yours steps down after 5 minutes when placed on turbo mode.

Mine is on the way. I'll let you know when it arrives (probably in another week or two)

Looks like the issue is official. RMAs are sent.

Got my "w" today. It's got the step-down. I kind of wanted one without, but I think I'm better off with it. I'm not head-over-heels for the light, but it's nice. I really just wanted a SC60 with an XML, the SC600 is a tad bit big for me to pocket carry. (I want the soft switch back too. :p)

Good Quality.

Aggressive knurling, I like it to file my fingernails with :) A man file...

I have very large hands and have no issue with the recessed switch or the double click speed needed to change levels.

It remembers which level of H1 when shut off. So you can turn it on in H1(turbo).

Works with flat top cell.

I wish the split ring lug was a flat block to screw the sc60 style clip onto.

i had one

china post is taking a long time to deliver my sc600w. It was shipped on the 24th... still not here. Unforunately I find china post and hong kong post take longer at this time of the year :(

Those of you that have received these, how is the tint?

Is there any green?

I gifted my ThruNite Neutron 2A neutral which had the perfect tint (a little purple, just like a metal halide bulb) and I'm looking for that again.

This beam shot makes it seem that the light has a bit of purple to it and no green, is this true?

I'd say there is a hint of green in mine at the lower output levels (anything not H1 or H2). I'm quite sensitive to green and I wouldn't say that it is bothersome. The tenedency towards a green tint is a side effect of current regulation (no PWM). (If you ask me to explain it further I wouldn't be able to. I'm just regurgitating.)

Wow. I had been waiting on the light to come off of back order. Last night, it did. So, since I had a good Christmas, I jumped on it. Checked it today (after getting shipping information), back on back order. That was fast!

Got the light today. I would put the LED at 4000K as it is the warmest neutral LED I own. Only slightly warmer than the T5 4B that I have in my Spark SL6, which is fine as it masks the tint shift from the hot spot to the spill. The tint is wonderful.

Another thing, every picture I have seen of this light, they just have a bump for the positive contact. I actually have a spring on the positive pole meaning I can use any 18650. This light does EVERYTHING I want (strobe, high output on high, really low low and uses an 18650).

The quality of the light is amazing too. The switch is tight, the machining is awesome and the knurling is REALLY good. Also, being able to get to all modes from off (including low without blinding myself) is REALLY freaking nice.

This is my first Zebralight but it definitely isn't my last.

I did a runtime test yesterday just to satisfy my curiosity so I figure I'll post it here since this is the only SC600 thread. :) ZL claims 2 hours on on H1 (highest high with 5 minute stepdown) on a 2900 mAh cell. The only other runtime test I saw was by selfbuilt and the cell he used was 2200 mAh. I wanted to see what it would do with a Panasonic 3100mAh cell.

The light ran 2:08:47 to 50% of initial output. So Zebralight seems to be accurate, and I'd guess that the 500 lumen H2 mode would likely run 2:20 or more.

Also I wanted to point out that current production models now have a spring for a positive contact, so flat top (or recessed top) cells are not an issue.

I assume this is WAY warmer in tint than XM-L 3C?
Is this correct?

ZL website says, LED: Cree XM-L Neutral White (Norminal CCT 4200K

So that's like 5B1/2 range. my ZL H600W appears to be the same tint. I just got it and I like it.

But they also say, "Availibility: Out of Stock" on the site for the SC600w.
