The Maratac AAA (not AA as you requested) is on massdrop now. Looks like the Massdrop one may be rev 2 while the one on Countrycomm is rev 3.

What I really hope is that ReyLight comes up with a version built with a Nichia

imho the Massdrop is for Rev3 AAA Copper Maratac.
the posted specs at massdrop are
3 levels of brightness (Medium/Low/High)
Medium mode - 40 lumens for up to 7 hours
Low mode - 1.5 lumens for up to 55 hours
High mode - 138 lumens for up to 70 minutes
same as Rev3 specs at Maratac:
Low mode, 1.5 lumens output for up to 55 hours
Medium mode, 40 lumens output for up to 7 hours
High mode, 138 lumens output for up to 70 minutes
( Rev 1 model was 80 Lumens and 48 minutes) ( Rev 2 model was 115 Lumens and 60 minutes)
Im a huge fan of the Maratac AAA copper body, as a Host. I do not care for the stock Cool White LED, Im a Nichia fan
Just guessing on the rev2 vs rev3. I was looking at the sequence, not the lumens and minutes.
The Rev3 specs on CountryComm/Maratac site (your link) I see -
After thousands of Requests it’s new user interface is: “Low / Medium / High”.
Now with 3 levels of brightness ( Low / Medium / High ).
On the MassDrop site I see -
3 levels of brightness (Medium/Low/High)
Now 2 hours left on the AAA copper on MassDrop.
And I would prefer the Nachia too.
