New or other names for the LumiTact G700 flashlight

I bought one of those (branded Thorfire) a couple of years ago, for (can’t remember exactly) less than $ 10.
The build quality is good though.
But it needs a better lens, because the stock lens is rather flat (big focal distance), but with a better lens the head moves to far forward…
It’s in pieces now, maybe i’ll finish the mod some day…

There are a lot more names for the thing collected in the earlier threads about it, too.
Search will find them.

If you’re using malware protection the blog search may not work.
Google search like this, specifying the site name:

site:budgetlightforum.com followed by the search terms, for example

https://www.google.com/search?q=site%3Abudgetlightforum.com+x700+tactical

This was a surprise to me though:

https://www.aliexpress.com/store/330416

What’s the first thing you see there?

Fair enough, it’s only 5 bucks. :+1:

Yeah, that’s been mentioned and discussed in one of the previous threads about this.
Notably, Simon’s honest about the light. Remarkable. Tells you and shows you it’s a LatticeBright.

It’s a good pointer to give anyone who’s actually intending to buy one of these things, if they mention that before buying one
(It’ll be sour grapes if they’ve paid more for one from one of the bogus-claim sellers)

Indeed, Simon is honest about it, and it’s a nice possible host for 5 bucks.
Was just surprised to see it as the first thing on Convoy store page.

Yeah when I saw he honesty says LaticeBright I rewarded him by ordering on.
Yes horrible blue light but I have 3 of these and the Simon one is clearly better with a smooth zoom, came with lubed threads.

Wow, this is just the same light that was the cheapest of the “XM-L T6 2,000 lumen Zoomable” off Ebay like 6 years ago. I hate when people spew this dog pish. I get it’s how people learn not to get took and everything, but come on. Nice thread The Miller. I’ll keep my eye out, if I see any they coming back here.

Militac
This one’s used by Navy SEALs

You think it'd be difficult to get one with my own name printed on the tube?

:)

terminator?

I have bought one
This is my second “G700”
The other came from T-Mart.
E17 is not the same quality, the E17 pillar is worse and didn’t have all o-ring

Ad popped up today on yahoo front page for the TC1200 from 1tac.com.
Looks the same as the other military tactical flashlights

I wish someone would challenge these claims and demand some proof of the claimed “endorsements” by government employees.

Believe it or not, the Navy endorses these claims, they actually trained a special Seal team of bloggers to spread the word. This was exposed by an investigative report

Just saw them at Home Depot. I’ve never seen them in a brick-and-mortar before.

Did it come with a cell and charger?
Oh I guess it has the 3xaaa carrier.

I wish some publication like The New Yorker or The Atlantic would research this —- where are the flashlights being made in China, who makes them, and how do they get to distribution in the US under so many different names and claims? Is it resellers being offered them dirt cheap who paste the names and claims on? Or is it some middleman who batches them up in this misleading fashion and finds fools to sell them?

saw the atomic “as seen on tv” light at rite aid today.
couple of folks looking at them.
they put them back on the shelf when i told them they were a $6 light with slick marketing.
the manager said oh really?
showed him one i bookmarked on my phone.
then told the group to visit this site.
didnt tell them they may very well spend more than $29.99 after they look around here a bit!
