GBGB: 4th batch of BLF-348 (Classy and Small 1xAAA Stainless Steel light, with Nichia NVSW219B-V1 R9050) - Coupon published!

In for two without box, with engraving

10 no box no engraving

2 non-engraved without gift box please

I’ve read different statements about the 219C r9050. Sometimes it was told that this LED is not aviable. But the latest information is that the LED is aviable if you buy 3500pcs.
You can read here: Neues von Nichia! | Taschenlampen Forum

But 219C with CRI83 would be nice too.

Please put me down for:
2 x non-engraved, without gift box
2 x non-engraved, with gift box

I don’t speak german but I will take your word for it.

The way I understand it is that the 90+ CRI is available but only by the complete reel (aka, 3500 of them). It will remain that way until a distributor / reseller buys said reel and then resells it to people like us.

For some reason the major suppliers tend to only stock low CRI, cool white or 3000k LED’s.

It is only a matter of time before some of the 90+ 219’s become available to the general public. The question is how much time.

@ _the_:

Which price will it have inside the GB?

Outside the groupbuy the SF-348 is sold currently for $4.49!
http://www.gearbest.com/led-flashlights/pp_131992.html

$6.99 without gift box, $7.99 with.

Let me calculate this for you:
Basic SF-348 price (on sale): $4.49

  • a magnificent Nichia emitter: $3.98
  • modding work to swap the emitter: “nothing, I do it myself”
  • BLF engraving: “priceless!”
= $8.47 (without gift box, with ugly SF engraving)

=> GB savings $1.48 (yippee!) :slight_smile:

Edit: Here’s what the light does with ~10x more expensive emitter:

10pcs non engraved.

8 of them gift boxed.

Hi,
2 plain w/o box
Thx

8 pieces non-engraved no gift box

Wow, 331 lights on the list already !!

I’m in for 4…

2x Engraved w/box
2x Plain no box

I’ll tell you why I an buying 20 more of these ( I already purchased 20 before this ) , Out of all of the lights I’ve shown people over the past few years , these simple , yet elegant lights are instantly popular .
For non-flashaholics , one mode and the use of a common battery are easy .

I EDC one of these at work .
My intention is to give some of them away as gifts . The rest I purchased for people I gave lights to that want to get some to give away to their friends .

I EDC one since they came out and have a spare for backup. They are a great little user friendly light for sure. I blue loc-tighted the bezels as they can back out over time and and 6 tiny pieces will disappear. I was lucky.

Oh… JTC, please put me on your Gift List ! :stuck_out_tongue:

I’ll take 5, engraved and no gift boxes.

Darn it- here I go again :stuck_out_tongue: Time to start going back to the meetings again.
“Hi, I’m Phil and I’m a flashaholic. Thank you for having me at Flashaholics Unanimous and I’m trying to do better- honest!”

+ _the_'s commitment of 100!

I’m in for 10, non-engraved, with gift box.

What is the timing looking like? I figure it’s too late to have these in time for Christmas gifts this year. :frowning:

Hope this isn’t a dumb-ass question, but what’re the spex for this light with the 219anything? Lumens, runtime, etc.? Reflector or TIR? 10440able?

I imagine this is rather different from the SF-348, but I’m not sure how much. Don’t recall seeing any spex for this bugger.

Same reason most stores sell Bud and Coors instead of Dinkel-Acker, Warsteiner, and Killian’s.

Got lumen-hounds (and those who sell lights to ’em) for the CW low-CRI chips, and incandescent-wannabe bulbs for the 2700K chips.
