There are standard C8's then there are standard C8's. Another words, no guarantees. I've done a lot of LEGO'ing of C8 parts a ways back, and managed some success, some not so much. This is sourcing from Simon, so I'm sure all he cares about is the Convoy C8, so that's all you should expect, I would think. So if you happened to have a Convoy C8, try it's bezel on another C8 - if it fits, probably his SS bezel will fit. I've put an SS bezel on a L4 - came off a UltraFire light, so sometimes you do get lucky.
If I recall (this was couple years ago), the SS bezel didn't go completely down on the threads but worked holding the lens and reflector down fine.
I still like the Rocher AS31's SS bezel, it's thin, light weight, classy look'n:

I have 4 C8s, 2 by Convoy, an UltraFire and a Thorfire cheapo, and the bezels are all interchangeable.
The rest is not.
I have 2 more lights with the same bezels, and they are interchangeable too.
A.f.a.i.k. only the Xtind bezel is slightly taller, but uses the same threading though.

First round. A test sample only and it’s 3mm longer than it should be, but I figure I’d post a picture to see what you all think. This is one of two designs the second of which is a different style and crenelated though not like the existing bezel. Feel free to comment on this one.

Like the design! But yea, sticks out pretty far - best to keep as close to the glass as possible - less blockage, less interference with the beam.
Sorry mate did not see this till now. I am not doing any attacking i just like the look lol. I cant be the only one? It can come in handy in some situations like glass breaking.
I just seen those pics. I am not a fan of it. I will probably be the only one to say this but i like the C8 bezel as is. But in stainless that would be awesome or even a tad more aggressive. I think there would be a market for it. Some people find it tacky i guess the attack bezels.
This bezel design i can not even see if the light is on one of the reason i have 5 C8s lol. even some thing like the BLF D80 design bezel its still simplistic and stylish without being over the top?
I hate adding my opinion because what i like will be different to other people so what i like not every one will. Some one some where will defiantly whinge about it no matter what! lol
I now have my grinder i can try and make it like a attack bezel lol. My artist skills are so bad i asked my gf if she thought me or my two year old nephew drew and picture and she said me hahahaha.
I’m not sure about that design, there is something about the grooves that look wrong to me, I’m not sure if it’s the dimensions or something else though.
I’m not a fan of attack bezels and I don’t think one made of stainless would break a car window, at least with any consistency would it? In my limited experience a hardened point or a fair amount of heft was needed.
Yea but it depends on the crenulation dimensions. Stainless steel is a lot stronger then aluminium. I think you could smash a window with most attack bezels just need to use force or the force lol.
That would actually make a great video see if we can smash a window with a stainless steel bezel. Any one want to lend me a window? 
I think you’ll be surprised at how hard it is to break a car window, at least when you want it to break :person_facepalming:
Yea I know but not only car windows we could be talking house windows in an emergency. Also depends on the windows it’s self.
