Nice idea! But 8 cells?

It’ll work with 4

120mm? geez….

What’s the price target? $100?

I’m ok with 8 cells, but it better be one hell of a thrower!
You guys planning on cracking the 1Mcd with that 12 cm reflector?

If the price is decent…I’m in!

Cheers
Nico

Great !

I think too 8 cells are a lot . 4 are ok

Also , count me in too , for any help the team needs .

Edit : Please don’t start an interest list , it will turn into chaos with the expected results

High CRI!
Count me in.

Dang dude, you are really pushing the limits here. Two custom and unusual light projects at the same time! Heck yeah, I am in!

Keep this up and make the work… you will generate some real BLF envy.

I am in

Im in this one as well!

The debate is lumen vs throw. It will be a big light so will we be happy with a 1400 lumen XP-L HI and try to hit 1Mcd?, or will we settle for 700kcd with a 2000+ lumen XHP35?, or go 4000 lumen / 300kcd with a XHP70? (numbers are a very fast guess)

My first feeling is that in a light this big I expect more than 2000 lumen, even though that implies that maximum throw for the reflector will not be reached.

I’m in for a couple high quality hosts IF you can get them made first, before the multitude of requests and idea’s and other BS start’s flowing in, I have the drivers, boards and LED’s already.

It can’t be that hard just copy the TN42 with a bigger reflector and keep the carrier 4S, easy peasy, then just slap BLF on the side? If you have too?

Let the games begin! :person_facepalming:

I need to blind my neighbors a half mile across the lake. I’m in

Christmas 2017?

:+1: :+1:

Oh yeah, I’m in! Shine on.

Wow, I am in. Depending on price.

+1

It is usually a compromise between lumens and lux. One direction to go is multiple reflectors/emitters, like a bigger TM16GT. This way one can get lumens and lux as long as the separate reflectors make good use of the available area and are driven well.

Too much unsure so I will start keeping the interest list later down the path
For now just think along

Basic ways the same as the Q8:
Designs open source
No money/profit for the team, just the fun of doing it
Open about and for as much as possible

I’m in for sure, make sure there is a good copper heat sink in there somewhere.

Interested.

Cool!
