Xhp50 driving

Hello
Can i use 2 drivers with 8x7135 each to drive xhp50 if i connect the drivers in series?
Won’t this connection between the drivers cause a short in the batteries?

Anyone have answer please?
I forgot to mention, the xhp50 is 6v rated

No, you don’t need two drivers in series, just two cells in series. You can use a 7135 driver that has been “zener modded”. This allows the driver electronics to be used with 2s voltages.

+1

Connecting linear drivers in series would not boost the voltage. There are boost drivers designed to do that, or you can use 2 batteries in series like EasyB said.

thank you both
i understand, this is too complicated not just batteries change.
one more question please, can i connect 2 drivers in parallel in order to driver 3 leds (without sepparating the leds or the drivers, all in parallel)?
im probably going to use XML2

If you’re using a 7135 driver you can add a slave board which is simply another driver with the mcu disabled or single mode driver. The master controls the second board. Search “master slave mod”.

Hello, my drivers are already single mode drivers. My question is, can i combine two drivers or more in parallel?
thanks
