Makes me wanta buy a lathe now, damn you……
Looks nice

That light is gorgeous!!

With no driver spring I would guess twisty.

Your machining and finish looks perfect vob. lts good to see you hit the finish line running. I’m looking forward to the assembled pics.

Thanks for the support everyone!! Yes, it’s a twisty….

Lovely light :+1:

Competition is tough enough in hand made, I’m glad I’m not up against the real thing since hand made is all I’ll ever have.

Oops. I forgot about not editing after the deadline and just fixed 2 broken links in my thread. They were links and I added the on each end to make them pictures.

Wow that looks great!

WOW gorgeous light.

Bob

I hope my wife doesn’t find out that there’s a light out there more beautiful than she is. The styling is second to none.

50 lashes with a wet noodle and no desert. :stuck_out_tongue:

great work vob .nice little pocket warmer.

Very nice work indeed!

Shame brass tarnishes, looks lovely though when nice and shiny!

It polishes up pretty quickly though. It’s heavy but stronger than aluminum so walls can be made much thinner. This and it’s ability to braze or solder are what made mine possible so I have to say I’m a fan of the stuff. Doesn’t hurt to see it tooled by a pro either, it took serious skill to turn out something like this in such a limited amount of time.

Hey all,

I just finished up the video on this if you like to see this beast taking shape.

Cool, I’ll check it out this evening.

-Really fun watching you crank your way through it. For a nautical piece I see a lanyard loop at the tail( if it ain’t tied it’s overboard  )

Thanks for the Vid vob. We cant have to many of these. :+1:

This light is just beautiful!!. Nicely done.
