DC-Fix Diffusion Film Sale

It’s alright. I’ll wait some more… :+1:

What kind of lights have you been using d-c-fix on? I read it cannot withstand high temperatures.

Here’s Olight R50 Pro near a wooden surface on turbo for under 1 minute.

Look at the lens in that photo. It isn’t very hot. Only the “wooden surface” that the light is shining on is getting so hot. In fact, I’m almost certain that most of the heat showing in the lens area, is actually being read from the reflector behind the lens, and not the lens itself. I know the DC-fix will absorb more light (and heat) than a clear lens, but I think the DC-fix will be okay for at least that light.

I already re- sent it . I wanted to make sure there weren’t any problems. You said in your PM that the delay might be in your mailing system …. But I didn’t want you to have to wait any longer than you already had .

Let me know when you get it / or don’t get it …thanks again

Thermal imaging doesn’t work on glass or other reflective surfaces. It just reflects the temperature as if it was a mirror. If you take a thermal image of a window straight on, you don’t see the temperature of the glass or anything behind it but your own body heat.

Well, but the wooden surface absorbs the light/heat while DC-Fix lets it pass, at least most of it. I’m using DC-Fix “Static premium transparent” (static means without glue) in a UF13 with MT-G2, powered at about 60 watts maximum, about 3000 lumens. This DC-Fix eats only about 7% of the light (my rough measurement), no problems here up to now.

That’s good to hear. I’ll try it on some of my angrier lights and report back.

Maybe find a “disposable” lens to try it on, just in case it does trap heat.

And yeah, I forgot about that tiny detail of thermal imaging and glass. I was really not even thinking about glass. Most lenses in lights that I own are plastic. :stuck_out_tongue:

It shines through it, not on it, and it’s kept cool by the lens too, so i expect no problems.

Alright, I have received the first shipment! Cutting it up now to see how well it works!

Received after 9 days , that was quick .

Thanks Boaz

That was fast … 9 days to Greece is crazy

Thanks again Giorgoskok

Wow, i received mine too. Fast shipping! Thanks, works great. Noticing a slight tint change but very subtle.

just noticed this as i was about to send you a paypal payment. maybe folks can give me some advice…. im actually putting this on a led “cube” offroad light that i use for a reverse light on my atv. i currently have a homemade diffuser on there… basically a cover that i cut a bunch of lines in with a grinder to give it a wider pattern.

all i need is 2” x 2”… so size isnt an issue… but what would make the beam as floody as possible? and maybe be durable to boot? although ill probably put a clear cover over top of it for protection.
