I measured temperature (celsius) over runtime (~1 h) with full mode

used eneloop

other setup

after 10 min

and full graph

bigger and brighter are Jaxman E3 full, smaller are Roche F12 (Cree XM-L T6-4C) low mode

I think it ~30m OK
I cant heard any sound in any mode
No PWM/pulsing so much what I can see (and through camera)

And when anybody wants pouch and clip then must count this

Nice review, thanks!

In the pic showing the LED, is that white stuff on the wires just glue? Is it simple, ordinary glue, like Elmer’s glue? Or is it some kind of special, thermal glue? Or is it something else entirely?

I dont know. It like harden clue (?)
I think, in forum are user jaxman You may try ask from him or seller in aliexpress

It is a thermal(-ish) glue that is often used by manufacturers (Fujik adhesive?). Works for fixing the ledboard and wires in place so that assembling is easier, and the light is more shockproof. Good for modding too because it is easy to remove.

I wish I had thought of that when I was fighting my wires in my first flashlight build. How exactly do you remove that thermal glue? Sooner or later, I’ll want to modify my existing flashlights that use this glue.

I’m also very interested in that light. What are the outputs for each level? Just approximate.

Some more pictures
from left: Roche F12 (Cree XM-L T6-4C 523-Lumen 1*18650 AMC7135*4) on lower, middle Astrolux A01 on max and right Jaxman E3

camera: ISO 100, Tv 1/500 s, Av 2

Jaxman E3 full

Jaxman E3 middle

Jaxman E3 lower

same settings, but ISO rised to 200

Thank you very much matik42!
Is Low mode of Jaxman E3 about the same as mid of Astrolux A01? Or slightly brighter/dimmer?

Camera settings here are changed and photos may be misleading so I put here picture what are taken with same camera settings like used in previous post

Tv=1/500 Av=2.0 ISO=100

Left Astrolux A01 low and right Jaxman E3 low

Av=2.0 Tv=1/8 ISO=100
white Balance: auto (awb)

Av=2,0 Tv=1/30 ISO=400
white Balance Fluorescent H (on my screen this gets bretty realistic colors)

thanks.
How long E3 works in 2 and 3rd modes ?

I hope measure it on weekend.
Tryed measure middle mode runtime yesterday evening. With eneloop (~1.46V and ~1807mAh) switched on ~18:15, when I fall in sleep ~23:00 it was lighted up. (Today morning eneloop ~0.92V)
And it runs cool, no temperature change at all and tail standing all time.

Runtimes:
full: ~1h
middle: ~8h
low: ~109h

used Sanyo Eneloop HR-3UTGB (3rd generation) ~1800mAh and charged to ~1.4V
Measured so, that switched on and if no visible light, so end.
Of course dont catch exact end. After full and middle battery was ~1.1V and after low (maybe 2-3h after “end”) was ~0.91V After high on ~70 min led was very low glowing.

It is veeery similar with Thorfire TG06…same body with different led?

Jaxman weights more (44g versus 37g), little longer (95mm versus 93mm), diameter are little smaller (20 mm versus 21mm) and by manufacturer takes only AA batterys.
All Thorfire TG06 numbers taken from banggood
Have light memory. Goes low -> middle -> high and starts last used.

It's the same host around 95mm in length

About lens glowing O ring
Ordered from FastTech Water-tight O-Ring Seals (5-Pack) 15mm * 1mm * 17mm
They dont fit

Now get from Jaxman not glowing O ring for E3 with my ordered M8 and that fits perfectly
