Haikelite MT03 Devourer Review

Yeah true that. The price would be double(?) at a guess.
Although if it’s an actual 18k lumens I’d possibly pay good money for one.

I would say at least double the price they haven’t told me any thing except that it is in the works. Plus batteries 4 cells is already a lot double the power you need double the batteries.

Right now this light works out good if you compare this output to price. The L6 retails for around 65 USD this gives you over double the performance at twice the price.

I find that the MT03 already has enough power as it is.what are going to do with 18000 lumens? Spend the day replacing the sun :stuck_out_tongue:

Nice review everydaysurvivalgear,

Those pictures are impressive, but I still do not know what I should choose whether the MT07 or MT03.
Actually I haven`t seen good beam shots of the MT07.

So I think I wait for some good beam shots of the MT07

My personal preference when in doubt between these two lights would be the MT03. The beam profile and smaller size make this light much more everyday use friendly.

This is true but there is a price difference. Output wise the MT03 is a lot brighter but you may not be able to see by eye that well. You would need to be in a big area.

I updated some beam shots.

Okay i am a dope! I was wondering why the batteries are wearing out at different speeds on some occasions you need either 2 cells in series or 2 cells in parallel for the light to work. So if one cell isn’t making contact both slots wont work in either the series or the parallel. If i can get all the batteries to make contact the light runs and drains all the batteries even like with a few millivolts. I feel like the light could benefit from double springs or at least a bigger tab on the positive slots.

So how moddable is the MT03? Can we add a sense resistor to the stock driver, for example? Or is it possible to flash different firmware as I’d prefer no mode memory, and I’d really prefer the firmware of the BLF A6.

Hey mate i have pics of the driver here shouldn’t be to hard to get extra power if that is what you want.

Nice review. My wife would love this light. She's all about big flood.

Thanks for your time taken reviewing! As it doesn’t seem to fit protected cells in series I think I’ll give this one a miss.

There is a 4S variant which should accept protected cells. Perhaps you can check that one out?

Long protected batteries do work at least on the MT03 2S2P.

It seems to be a problem on this reviewers sample if I’ve read correctly.

So, about the heat, this thing after turbo step down its possible to holding near the besel?

Its possible to return in full turbo mode after the step down?

Thanks and great review :+1:

They work but they are to long so the tail cap will not lock proper. So its a catch 22

Hey man,

I just saw the (actual) review. Thanks a lot for your effort man; much appreciated!

Thanks mate it’s so freaking bright lol

I added another video its got like 12 Min if beam shots.
Compared the MT03 to
Convoy L6
MM25MB
Car head lights
Edit i didn’t add the BLF A6 and the G20 to the video i thought i did but its not there. I will up load them separate. The BLF A6 does a good job on that field that is why i always recommend them  The car head lights are from a 2014 Toyota corolla the lights are a bit shit stock i want to get newer builds for when i am high way driving at night.

I think Tom E has pointed this out, but don't have time to find where he discussed it for the MT07. It appears that an easy fix would be to either:

  • Solder a small button on to the Batt+ contact pads below (the two without springs), or
  • Shave down the protruding ring that goes around the Batt+ contact pads, or
  • Add a button to the top of a flat top cells so that the cell top can reach the Batt+ pads.

Picture from the OP:

Yea i was looking at them also i tried to rip them of but they are glued on real good. Right now if i fiddle with it my LG cells work okay they all drained even when i done the video last night,

Very nice video everydaysurvivalgear,

I am now convinced, I ordered both lights.
