HaikeLite MT03 review with measurements (3x XHP70, 4x 18650)

I’ll know more when I get the 4S tailcap and driver.

Thanks maukka,

I just wait before I’m going to order it

As always, a really great review.

Thanks maukka!

Very nice review, thank you :+1:

Check out the runtime graphs though. The PT60 output drops almost immediately (~10s) down to less than 4K lumens (~45sec). The other two stay near their max output for several times longer.

oh my bad

got carry away looking at the temperature photos and outdoor shots

And you cannot use your own cells in the PT60, which uses NCR18650B; looks like a really bad choice to me.

If you get a chance, please post a couple close, clear pics of the driver. Those of use with the 2S2P drivers might find that very useful. Especially, if the only difference is the voltage sense resistors and cell contact points.

+1 on the MT-G2 lack of use, a shame.
Thank you for review!

Very nice review, maukka! I enjoyed all the measurments and especially the comparison with the X7 makes it insight-full.

Thanks for the review!

It seems like Haikelite could improve their current and temperature regulation…

I think it is the other way around: Olight did a very very good job on the X7’s temperature regulation, a new standard to beat.

This light could be freaking awesome, but they need to thread the side switch. Still a great value compared to the other lights in its class.

Yeah it seems the olight is able to dissipate the heat evenly throughout the whole unibody. Looks like there is some kind of separation of the body and “head” of the haikelite light. That being said it’s really impressive how the haikelite holds up due to the sheer mass of the head, even up at 5 min it’s acceptable, but there is 10c difference already between the upper and lower half. I think this is totally acceptable and nice first showing of this new company, it has been proven to be a top performer especially for the price.

Great Review! Love the thermal imaging with the Flir Camera. This or an Olight X7? Can get X7 for $129 and I’m guessing better warranty service if it goes wrong.

I want the camera lol...

Very nice review !
Thanks a lot maukka !

P.S. Poor MK34; only 1330 ANSI lumen…

Great Review! So much info! I'd love to see what the FLIR image/impact would be on the MT03 by adding a good thermal grease on the critical thread connection.

thanx a lot for such a detailed review!
