Animated gif software

Im looking for " FREE " software that can make a animated gif from beamshots ...

I want to be able to use 3 or 4 beamshots and in a single frame have each beamshot come up for view for maybe 3 seconds in a infinite loop for better comparison of beams ...

Anyone know of free software that can do that ?

Thank you

The GIMP. Terrible name, great software.

If you don't mind making a slideshow "movie" from your jpgs, you will get better image quality since gif are 256color pallet and require dithering to form shades in between. You can do movies in MS movie maker or Google Picassa. They also support fades which may present differences better.

The answer to your original question is this http://www.photoscape.org/ps/main/index.php. Or this if you want something simple http://download.cnet.com/Microsoft-GIF-Animator/3000-18512_4-12053.html?tag=vtredir. Ignore the reviews on that site, they don't know what they're talking about.

Yeah , after something very simple ... Gimp is ?? too many features . I did this online ...

Nice!

I think the animated gif gives a much better comparison ,,, The file is a little large , so hopefully I can find some software that can do it easy and maybe a little smaller ..

But definitely looks like the way to go for beams ...

The files are not going to get any smaller. Other than the color pallet compression, they are lossless.

You might want to slow down the animation speed.
