Xtar VC4 Issue? Anyone?

Hi all, how has it been?

I think my VC4 charger has some issues with it. When I switched on the power the voltage display shows that the batteries voltage are around 4.0V (which is correct as I have confirmed this with my multimeter), however the CH1 and CH2 are in green light and the chrager simply wouldn’t charge even though I have waited for more than 10 minutes - It just stay the way it is and the mAh still remain as zero as shown in the photo below.

I restarted the charger a few times by switching off/on then only the charging works as normal.

Has anyone faced the same issue? May I know why?

Thanks in advance.

EDIT: The attached photo doesn’t show and I don’t know why, but the link is here anyway.

I would try a different power supply or another cable, maybe even self-built.
there is a threshold when a battery is “too full” to charge, but it shouldn’t be 4.10V?

I use the Xtar stock cable (still new and in good condition) and I don’t have other similar cable to try for.

I have charged this pair of Liitokala 26650 to 4.19V before with this VC4 charger, so there shouldn’t be any threshold for stop charging.

And yes, if you see the photo in the link the batteries were both at 4.0V at that point, and there is no reason why the charger stopped charging even at just 4.0V.

what I meant is, some chargers don’t charge cells that are “too high” or not discharged enough, but 4.0 shouldn’t be that level. I have previously heard that the cable can make trouble and it can also be ordered separately from xtar.

I would try a different power supply, if available. the iPad charger is good, typically.
