Sir, that is a masterpiece! It is absolutely beautiful and I am so glad I got to see it finished. I am happy that I could get to see the end of another BLF contest. May they come every year no matter what.

None of those items individually would hold my interest much past “ooooh, shiny”. Together in that beautiful creation you conjured forth from your imagination, it would hold my interest everytime I passed it, if I ever put it down…. Stunning…

Thanks guys, competition is stiff this year with a lot of outstanding builds so I’m glad you think this is one too. Some numbers in post #3.

To me this looks a clean as anything in the machine made category. Where is the part about you making the fins on the neck?

Post #2 has short cuts to each separate build post or if you have the time and inclination they are daisy chained with a link to the next at the end of each one. It’s a long chain so get a brew and get comfortable. As with all my builds I bounce around like I don’t know where I’m going but sooner or later(usually later) I get there.

Loaded weight with cell is ~175g and the copper cored head is ~60g even with its mostly empty reflector volume from the fins forward. One of the things I’m striving for is reducing the excess weight as I improve my skills and this is by far my leanest effort to date. By comparison my 2 cell brass build from year before last was ~350g.

You can have the wood but you have to make your own light and this time without all the fancy tools. Silly

Now wait just one minute here. MrSDNF has a wood light, EMARKED has a wood light, Rufus has half a dozen…. I DON’T HAVE EVEN ONE!!! Rufus, I am sure that light has my name on that little thingy just under that whatchamacallit on the left side. So it is mine!!! Innocent

Seriously…. What a masterpiece! The material / parts list looks like you built a jet airliner!!! Absolutely stunning work from “0” to finish. Thumbs Up Beer Beer Beer
