Despite the fact that Greece is within the countries that some items (but not batteries ) have free shipping, I believe thatās unfair, cause annual turnover depends (among others) by population and average income.
What you should really care, is if packages get lost in the way to certain countries. I know that Hellenic Post (ELTA) is one of the most reliable state postal service providers, so itās normal that free shipping option is offered (but NOT batteries :rage: ). Unfortunately for A_M_K, Bulgaria isnāt according to EU statistics. The strange fact though is that GB offers free shipping to Romania, that official EU statistics show itās in the worst place.
Anyway, please give us GBās Top 40 countries list and the annual turnover per country so far, or the percentage of each country to GBās annual turnover (so that you donāt give us āprivateā data).
Iād like to know where Greece stands, cause I know we might be low on population and average income, but a lot of Greeks are buying online from China last couple of years.
Guys, I know it sucks, but you have to understand its not their decision not to send batteries and power banks to some countries, they would like nothing more than to sell more (of any goods).
As already mentioned and explained some association that gathers Airline companies made new regulations for all companies to follow: no shipping loose batteries (cells) and divices like power banks without special security measures that cost way to much to even be considered as an option.
None of the shops active on this forum delivers batteries to my location but I cant be mad at them, itās not their fault, I am sure they would love to get even more of my money
GearBest my favorite online store where I buy. Iāve never had trouble with them, each packet has arrived. The prices are very good compared to the others. :+1:
The price of the battery is they want to spend. :money_mouth_face:
Which e-shops? What are the prices of cells/shipping costs (you say free)? There must be a reason why you havenāt ordered from those e-shops instead of expressing your unsatisfaction here?
You can send me a PM not to derail this thread even more.
GB, FT, DX, KD, BG none of them sends batteries to me location (I am very close to Greece), responsible sellers on Aliexpress tell me befor I buy that they can not send batteries and the others that either do not understand question or donāt care will send them but they will be returned and then I have to mess with dispute/refund.
I havenāt tried ordering via ebay because I do not have trusted seller that only sales genuine cells and I donāt want to be obligated to test every single cell I order.
How can you tell I havenāt ordered batteries from other e-shops that ship free to Greece?
Ofcourse Iāve ordered (e.g. KD).
I canāt know whatās every storeās shipping policy to your country, so Iām gonna PM you some of those Iām buying from with free shipping and had no problems so far.
BTW, this is āCommercial Sellersā Spotā thread.
A Commercial Sellerās representative in a forum should read all memberās opinions and proposals.
In that spirit, I donāt believe my (and everybody elseās) thoughts/complaints/suggestions are off-topic. :sunglasses:
so why do they ship batteries for free (unregistered) to slovakia for example? if it was all about the new regulations of airline companies than it would affect them too, i guess. and yes, there are webshops that still ship batteries for free. anyways, iām still sticking by gearbest and hope this issue will be solved soon.
I can only assume, maybe they found some shipping company that has a direct flight to Slovakia and is willing to close one eye on a regulations as long as they have some profit from that.
One thing is certain, GearBest is, same as any company, profit oriented, if there is money to make in selling something they will sale it so I am 100% sure that if they could make money by selling batteries to Hungaria, Slovenia, Greece, Serbia, Bulgaria etc. and the only obsticle is their own decision āshould we do it or notā we would not have this conversation and good & cheap cells would be on their way to us.
They might havenāt bothered enough themselves (as others did) to find the solution.
Itās a question of priorities:
āShould we spend sometime to figure out how to do that, or should we focus on something else more urgent, since sales go fine without it?ā
I can understand that as a sales strategy (if it is like that), but I donāt like it. Since I donāt like it and I see that a certain e-shop does nothing to improve that situation but is turning itās back to me, most probably Iām gonna turn my back also and go shopping everything (not only batteries) from somebody else who values better my money. If many discontented customers do that and inform why theyāre doing it, then maybe they see their mistake and do something about it.
Nope, youāre not doing it right, cause you obviously didnāt (or donāt want to) understand what I wrote and how I wrote it. Iām really sorry, but I have to quote part of my answer at the PM youāve sent me (answering to my PM that I was informing you for e-shops that ship free batteries in Greece), in order to ādefendā myself (and not an e-shop for itās āunfairā shipping policy) :
As Iāve also told you at my answering PM, āIām not simply affraidā¦ Iām certain that youāve misunderstood most of what I wrote. Thatās why your answer is agressive. It shouldnāt be, weāre in the same side. :sunglasses: Weāre customers/consumers, trying to get the best deal for the money we spend to buy stuff from sellers. They (sellers) are the ones who have to find solutions in order to make higher sales and take our money.ā
I also agree with that. Itās absolutely logical. Never said the opposite. But Iām also wondering:
thanks for your are willing to order batteries form GearBest, but Iām sorry because of the reason of the shipping companies, and regulation of different countries, for now itās best we could do, and thanks for Sirius9 help to explain here, and he is right, we will never miss the chance to offer you great sales for battery if we could
as itās the deal thread, Iām wondering if you we donāt discuss this too much here, thanks
and also I will PM you something about the shipping method of the battery
Thanks for your answer, waiting for your pm. :sunglasses:
In order not to loose any time saying the same things over and over again, please read at my previous posts my honest opinion and see the links for the EU air-mail statistics per country.
