P.S. Hope I did a half decent newbie job.,
My first poll ever :person_facepalming:

Nice Job Caramba it will be interesting to see results in a few days

Lumintop Tool can be aluminium, copper, Ti

Voted for UltraTac K18, according to my revised opinion, cause of it’s specs and reviews, even though I don’t own it… yet! :sunglasses:

I like the jet u because the low-level is a usable brightness. If it’s too low then it’s just a level that I’m not going to use.

The medium level should be lower, and the Hi level isn’t really needed, but it all works well.

Olight i3s EOS is not on the list…
And i like it much better than my Astrolux A01, even though i have the ‘good version’ (Manker driver).

The Olight beats the Astrolux on:
-twisty switching (it just works great)
-size
-looks
-weight
-clip
UI (med high - moon)
-moon mode usability (you can actually see something)
-tailstand
-no (visible) PWM

The Olight sucks a little on the CRI and colour temperature though (XP-G2).

The Astrolux beats the Olight on:
-Colour temperature
-CRI
-Lumens in high mode (it’s bright  )
-Price (usually less than half the price of an i3s)

And if you have the later version, you have visible PWM on mid and firefly mode.
Biggest disadvantage to me is the UI (firefly - low - high).
When i turn it on i still see nothing, i have to twist again…

How come the A01 is so popular anyway?
Must be the Nichia LED.

Apart from which light the most popular is, it is nice to see much love for the AAA format. I have voted Lumintop IYP365, Nichia.

Im all about getting a Light with a Nichia now, and Lumintop offers 6 options,
ToolTi, ReyLightToolTi, CopperTool, CopperReyLightTool, ToolAluminum, CopperWorm

I lego Copper Tool and Copper Worm heads onto my Copper Maratacs and Titanium Thrunite
I have the choice to carry a High CRI, Constant Current Twisty light with a pocket clip that works on my hat, and that starts on medium, or one that starts on low… but always with a Nichia

Come on Jetbeam, I’ma root’n fur ya :+1:

My top 3 choice would be the Lumintop Tool, followed by the Lumintop IYP365, and then the Jetbeam Jet-uAAA.

Gotta say “other”. My favorite 1xAAA light is still the DQG Tiny AAA IV from 2013. Haven’t found a better one since. However, I’ve largely switched to 1x10180 instead of 1xAAA.

I must vote for this: Olight I3S.Cu raw
(Other in this poll)

My favorite is the “other” dozen or so AAA’s (Fenix, Thrunite, Preon, 348, and a multitude of more “others” I have from years past acquired through our beloved BLF forum. Wouldn’t be budget if I kept up year by year now would it?

Olight i3E single mode 120 lumen in silver. Great light with an almost indestructible finish. Been my EDC since March.

Classy Gold in Black leather :+1:

I quite like my Thrunite Ti3 for it’s small size and neutral tint, also I like my IYP365 apart from it’s a bit big and the Astrolux A01 although mine has not the best threads. Guess I need to try a copper tool? The Nichia in the other 2 is AMAZING!

You must have the “bad” version of the A01, which was released sometime after the last group buy. All the A01’s I bought have no sign of PWM, either to the eye, or to my camera. From what I heard, the “bad” or “new” version of the A01 has PWM, as well as a cooler tint than the original. I’m glad I got mine when I did, it’s probably my favourite EDC, due to the small size that easily disappears into a pocket.

While I prefer the longer run-time and brighter max brightness of larger format lights, a small 1xAAA is just the perfect size for carrying anywhere.

There are certainly better quality lights than the A01, but I think it hits the sweet spot for value.

By numbers sold it has to be the BLF 348- over 1400 via the GB’s, and it deserves it’s accolades :+1:

I vote for Lumintop IYP365, but I mean NICIA version.
Hope next wear to see same light, but with 2 X AA battery and around 300 lumens output.
