I wrote that because i got an XM-L2 5A1 for my Skilhunt H15.
But compared to Nichia it still has little red in it, even though these 5A1s are supposedly 80 CRI.
And compared to LG 3535 80 CRI 4000K it’s the same thing.
Actually those LGs have a lot of red rendering.
Same CRI numbers can be totally different in spectrum distribution and richness. I remember Maukka post something about this stuff somewhere in BLF.
I’m interested in 3 “219C 9050 sm403”, to Canada. If I understand this thing correctly, I should pay $14.80 to Texas_Ace before the 23rd and will get the LEDs sometime early next year?

Update 161206: All payment for 1st batch delivery received, proceeding to packing and shipment.
I just saw many of us dropped, and i could only presume its cause of the KD offer:
- Dont put too much “hope” in KD`s binning and labeling, saying it from personal experience
Those guys here are doing it only for the idea, nothing esle and we should support them
Plus, the bins offered are nowere to be found, those are real gems here folks

It is up to clemence and how his Nichia contact will develop, but at least he seems to plan more sales rounds.
Seeing is believing Mitko, not much people other than some fellow who had experienced the 3 steps Nichia really get the idea of how nice it is (to get what you’re really looking for). So, we will see it when they’re installed and tested ;). I did and I will never get back to less than 3 steps if I can. I really hope Nichia will follow Cree’s tighter and more selective binning system.
I was a Cree/Luminus fanboy for it’s output and innovations, but now when almost all flashlights can output more than enough lumen with high efficiency, I appreciate light quality more.

No worries man, your orders are still there and reserved. We just make early shipment for those really wants the LED faster.
The #2 delivery will still be as scheduled in late December. Besides, some of your 4500K 144A LED are still in Japan. It’s more economical for you to go with #2 delivery. We will keep our promise
