Come on now…that’s just plain nonsense Does it burst into flames when you turn it on? When I read the title the first thing that came to my mind was, noway it was the smallest ’cause I recall somebody doing this in a 348. I should have remembered it was you. Anyhow, nice job as always. I’m waiting for you to shoehorn an XHP70 into one of those matchstick lights now.
Thought about it. It would probably be easier to get a XHP70 in there due to the smaller size, i had to grind down the corners of the MT-G2. The only thing that bothers me is if there would be a shadowy cross or dull centre spot if the emitter is installed in a mule light? I haven’t researched that yet so if anyone knows?
Hahahaa!
And i was actually thinking of something like this, since i have 2 10180 DQG cells collecting dust. (because the Astrolux keychain lights suck…)
But you just did it.
How much current can a 10180 push anyway?
And what kind of driver do you use?
I get a maximum draw of around 1.4A from a 10180 and 2A from the 10250 MBI nukes, dropping quickly on full blast mode obviously due to their tiny size but good enough for little fun builds like this and there are always lower modes to use.
What if you made a flashlight where the entire front of it is just one big LED like a COB chip?
I think that would look really cool
Not sure how close to the phosphor you can cut those…
