Thanks MILSPEC!
For sure I’m gonna prefer a ready spacer, as I don’t have a suitable workbench (most probably not even the ability for a DIY spacer ).
Do you know where can I see a photo that shows how such a spacer (16 to 20mm) shows in a Convoy S2+ (or any other flashlight) ?
Note: Different lights require different spacers. S2 vs S2+ vs others and so on. With the height of the spacer you can also vary the overall inside dimensions of your light.
There are tons of triple builds around, with good build reviews and pictures. Especially here and on CPF.
I am building two myself atm but need to find more time next week to finish it off.
edit: Apologies for so much off topic all, but to stay on topic - the kaidomain triple 219C set is still on sale.
The 20mm triple optics I’ve received from KD are made by BICOM and identical to optics I’ve found in Eagletac/Sportac lights. IMO, the BICOM optic is closest to the Carclo 10511. The BICOM puts slightly more light into the periphery of the beam. I’ve also drilled out Noctigon boards to accommodate them. The legs are also longer so you could drill holes in the spacer to keep the MCPBC from twisting; or just file them down which I have chosen to do.
It means the order is pending because it is being packed. took 24 hours for me at that stage.
you might want to contact BanL here on the forum if that status doesn’t change. or Abby on Skype (her ID is on the website).
Couldn’t resist to order a XP-L2 V6 3B, although i normally avoid B and C tint bins.
On another note @ BanL:
I received triple MCPCBs but i ordered 20mm single 3535 MCPCBs.
The baggy they came in had the correct SKU number, but the wrong item in it.
But it’s okay, i’m glad to have them, but you might want to check what’s going on with that.
got my Triple Nichia 219C today with the little case and Im very happy with the packaging. Will put them up with Convoy S2+ for comparison with other triple led soon
I am registered and I “log in” before I purchase, but their shopping system doesn’t have features like other shops. checkout is via Paypal and that’s it.
There are “favorites” though, you’d save items for later.
