CRX's 1000 Post Giveaway

Congrats to the winners!

I'm quoting part of the PM I've sent to CRX, cause I don't want to write a simple "THANK YOU"!

Unbelievable!

I'm really stunned and extremely happy Stevi!

This is the most "one of a kind" gift I ever got, besides the drawings of my kids when they were younger. I really don't know if I'm gonna have it on me all the time this wonderfull handmade flashlight, or I'm gonna put it at the best place in my home, as a trophy for everybody to see!

Can't thank you enough... really...

BTW, I saw in the last pics you've added the tool you've made to pull the magnetic removable battery carrier. Very simple, yet very-very clever! :THUMBS-UP:

Yeah it got that today along with a brass bezel insert. The battery carrier can be removed by holding the light and hitting your hands together, as if getting ketchup out of a bottle but i thought someone else might prefer something a little more eloquent :smiley:

Beautiful knife. Many thanks. My first Ganzo

Well, you ’ve got me once more mate. I don’t like ready ketchup, never use it. Too industrial/vulgar for my taste! :stuck_out_tongue:

BTW, congrats to DavidEF and Serp! :+1:
I totally forgot to congratulate you, as I was too excited before. :innocent:

Congrats Evankouros , DavidEF and Serp ! Thanks Crx !

Woohoo! I’m just now checking in to BLF for the first time today and I see I’ve won! Thanks CRX and congrats to the other two winners evankouros and Serp! I’m really impressed with the handmade light, but I’m still glad that I chose the SRK because I have never owned one.

Thanks. Definitely this is the best news of the day. Today everything goes wrong as it should :weary:

Congrats!!!

Congrats Evankouros , DavidEF and Serp- have fun with your gifts and thank you CRX :slight_smile:

Congrats to the winners!

Congrats everyone!!! And Thank You CRX

Congratz. These are very nice items. I really love the carbonfibre + brass looks. Well made and thanks for organizing this GAW.

All winners, enjoy your price!

Thank you so much.
Surprise, surprise inside the box!

Hi mate, glad you got the Ganzo & C3 delivered and i am very happy that you like them :+1:

CRX's Carbon Fibre & Brass Flashlight arrived a couple of days ago (Jan. 16). Stevi air-mailed the package -as registered- last year, before X'mas. We were hoping I could have it for new year's eve (we were tracking it everyday), but because of the crazy X’mas period for postage carriers it arrived a little late (note: CRX was more worried for it's arrival than I was :lol: ).

My impression with very few words:

  • It's a unique piece of art!

As I was thinking from the moment CRX informed that I'm the lucky guy of his 1000 posts GAW for his handmade Carbon Fibre & Brass Flashlight (I named it CRX-1000p), I really don't know if I'm gonna have it on me all the time, or I'm gonna put it at the best place in my home, as a piece of art to admire! (Most probably that's what I'm gonna do.)

The day my CRX-1000p arrived, my first impression was that it had very good/protective package.

Just take a glance how well made the hard carton box was: tailor-made to protect everything perfectly (wishful thinking: if everyone could make packages like CRX...).

I was very surprised to see not only CRX-1000p in the box, but even more amazing items!

Here are the basic parts of CRX-1000p

Some pictures of the unexpected CooYoo (@CRX please explain your DIY interventions):

Making such a brief presentation was the least I thought I could do to thank CRX and show my deep and honest appreciation. I only hope that my photos (for more see gallery) and description are decent enough.

@CRX:

Stevi, I really appreciate your great handmade gift with it's unique personality. One more simple "thanks" is not enough my friend!

Hey cool, I am very happy that you like the gifts and thank you for posting a very nice response here :+1:
Yes i must admit i did have thoughts of some customs inspector pocketing it as it was held for two weeks with no progress :innocent:

I do usually add an extra or two with my packages :wink:
The titanium mini cutter i’ve had for a while but never used so thought someone else might find it’s purpose, i don’t think that particular one is made anymore.

The cooyoo, well that’s been through a few different iterations in it’s life.
First i stole the charger board to use in my Brass dual flashlight build

Then it was a momentary switched light, then…
Now it is a mule flashlight with a forward tail clicky switch with variable QTC pill, XM-L2 4C emitter on 10mm copper sinkpad, brass lined head & positive contact with graphite aesthetics, the tail switch is made of magnets for your annoyance or convenience :laughing:
I didn’t know if you had a charger for 10180 cells so the tp4056 charger board is set to a low current for them.

CRX-1000p - i like that :slight_smile:

Thanks CRX for the nice gift , and Evan for the nice presentation .

@CRX:

I'm really glad you liked my brief presentation Stevi. :-) I hope everyone who reads it will get an idea for your great piece of art. :THUMBS-UP:

I didn't have a charger for 10180 cells, so thanks for thinking/making/gifting! ^:) BTW, how low have you set the current to tp4056 and what's your estimation for CooYoo's Lm output? (I'm not asking for CRX-1000p, cause it's very impressive :O )

@giorgoskok:

Thanks for your kind words, though my brief presentation can't be compared to your great flashlight reviews! 8^)

Sweet kit!
