RIP, and my fullest condolences.
OL was a one of a kindā¦ most guys get into lathes and mills, but not OLā¦ he was wicked with his hand tools and basic setup.
Flashlights came about as an accident for me, iām into something else that requires me to build and fabricate illuminatorsā¦seeing OL fabricate so well with files and saws and drills? made me realize i should DO THAT until i got my lathe!
It was great training until i got my mill setup and my little lathe. I probably wouldnt have HAD the confidence to think i could make USE of a lathe or mill, except for seeing guys like OL work by handā¦ then doing it myself.
