BLF GT Design

I voted for #2, but #1 was a very close second.
I would be happy with 1, 2, 3 or 4!

Seem to me got a winner?

I like the rubber bezel/tail bumpers idea. On a flashlight this large it would be great. I don’t see it in any of the designs, but hope it could be considered for the one(s) that is selected.

The design 1 by fritz included bumpers from the start. So far, his is the only one to incorporate that.

Pretty awkward to put a bumper on the head of designs other than 1, it’s the only light that rest on the bezel when standing horizontal, all others stand on the elbow of the head and would require a huge bumper, N°2 would require a quasi condom.

And on design 2 the cigar grip thingy would demand a massive rubber bumper at the tail.

By the way whatever the design i’m on board.

Put me down for one but only if design #2 wins. The other designs are ugly…… yikes!

For me, I need more fins. I’m not so sure how much fins can help, though.

I update the list going through the GT topic, if you haven’t posted that you want to be on the list there I might miss you

A lot. You’d be surprised :sunglasses:

Yeah, I own 2 Sipik clones. 18650 zoomer, sipik clone can stay at highest mode for an hour and it got a little warmer while another smooth flashlight get very hot after 3-5 minutes. Too bad, these clones didn’t last longer than a year. Now I have only C12 and Nitecore EC4 for a long continuous activation. I feel like most flashligh brands making their flashlight brighter but don’t care much about increasing heat dissipation ability.

I would love to see a smaller v1 to fit the upcoming 21700 cell.

Also only one power switch at the tail. No side button - too hard to find in the dark.

I hate tail switches on big lights…
You need to hold the light in BOTH hands to reach the switch, and you can’t power it on or off or even change modes with one hand.

If you have two hands free then it is just as easy to grip the light around the neck and feel where the switch is.
The large cutout in the metal makes it even easier to find.

The tail switch will just add cost and complication to the cell carriers and make it need a rim on the back to be able to tail stand.

Sorry, I need to clarify.

I meant 1x21700 cell light or just slightly larger than a 1x18650 - much smaller light than the multi-cell light proposed on this thread.

And a recharger port to replace the side button.

Natural hard anodize and stainless bezel ring.

The general shape of the v1 looks great! (the v2 reminds me of the Convoy L6).

Anyway, just an idea for a cheaper smaller version of the GT…

Hello, How to buy it if the flashlight is done? thanks

Design 2 is very good looking. That knurling would be very helpful. Especially with a cold gloved hand. Or wet muddy hand. Keep up the great work.

Have you put me on the list as well The Miller? I want one as well. Please don't forget to put me on your updated list. Thanks heaps.

You need to post in the other GT thread if you want to make sure you’re getting on the list.

Design 4 for me!

Welcome to BLF FlashMax!!! :+1: Your a few months late on the poll though……
