CRX's Last Mod of the Year - Airayland MT-G2 :)

The King is dead, long live the king. Passing the torch :confounded: to the next generation.

For goodness sake guys, i’m not very popular as it is around here…

Thanks very much though.

Speaking of which, a wee light on for Old Lumens

Twelve bells

So very cool. Btw, where does one get a steel button c3?

You do some awesome stuff CRX.

That’s a question, i bought it a few years ago after much searching, as i believe steel lights should have matching button covers.
I don’t know if they are still available, you can only search mate.

Where did you get those 14250s from?

Thanks Jerommel, i bought a four pack from the bay

it’s just the heat dissipation problems of the current tech for the moment…

I thought you had this problem solved by having a battery so small that there was virtually no runtime?

Haha, that’s the 10180 cells. The MBI nukes 10250 and these 14250 fellas have a bit more punch!

+1 :+1:

Your work is art CRX, please keep on surprising us! :exclamation:

It’s fantastic
They both are beautiful. I was pleasantly surprised and did not expect such a turn
I really enjoyed knife.
Custom flashlight is very nice. In the double’s nice that it’s not the factory item, and made master of his craft!

I was surprised by the power button, and I still have never encountered such an interesting algorithm of the driver.
I am very pleased with this flashlight. Thank you

P.S. WOW it is made of carbon fiber!
I am again surprised.

You make some sweet stuff, CRX, and I bet the beam of this mod is beautifu to behold (love the MT-G2’s tint, even if it’s relatively ineficient).

Could anyone tell me more about the stock version of this torch?

Thanks mate, yeah I really like the tint of the MT-G2. The light has a brass pill with very fine threads, a brass driver retaining ring and no bezel. The tail switch has another brass retainer and a plastic screw in holder which strips very easily if played with too much. I think the stock tint was ok. Quite a nice very compact steel AA light.

That’s fair for the price, I suppose. Any idea as to lumens and runtimes, even if approximate? Can’t find a peep about them.

I’m really not sure, can’t remember. I had it for like five minutes before it was in bits and it was new years eve…

Hey CRX, I want to buy this light and of course I’m already planning an emitter swap. How hard is it to remove the driver and LED board ?

The driver sits in a very finely threaded brass pill with a screwed retaining ring, the unit comes out the back end so long thin tweezers or such are required. Be careful of cross threading and same with the switch.

Okay so the light is a long threaded tube at the end and the bezel is integrated ?
The only access is by the tail ?
