Xiaomi Power Bank 2 10,000mAh Review

Do you guys not get decent deals on Amazon? Here in the U.K. I can get a top quality Ravpower unit at a lower £/mAh than getting the Xiomi off Banggood.
Admittedly you do get a better value as you go up in capacity but the 13400 Ravpower is close and way better value here.

Quick charging my MotoX Pure at 9 volts

Could you do a review Xiaomi 20000 mah Gen 2, it was just releaved
a pic inside it is better

Not bad at all, does it charge at this same rate with the wall charger?

I contacted BG for a review sample, but they don’t seem to be interested in sending me one.

If the price drops a little I might order one myself and do the tests, the only difference vs the 6x18650 version should be the weight and improved performance. Size, build quality and ports are exactly the same. I wish it came in other colors as well, the white finish doesn’t look too pretty after some regular use.

Maybe I should contact them again? I don’t want to look like I’m repeatedly bothering them to receive free stuff which I don’t really need other than for reviewing.

I asked my guy @BG for a sample, maybe they'll send me one :)

I never used the included charger that came with my phone. I’ve been charging it with a 40 watt 5 volt 5 port Anker charger from the beginning. I’ll break out the original and see how that does tomorrow. This new Xiaomi kicks ass. I’m very happy.

It does charge @9V in my testing :

Check around the 2:52 mark. Charger in case was a Tronsmart Titan.

Dodge, thanks for the review

Hmm, There is now clearly only a small difference in price, yet quite a big difference in efficiency…

Thanks for the great review again!!

I’m so impressed with this power bank I purchased a second one. It only took 9 days to arrive from Banggood. And yes, it’s legit.

Same here, I have chosen this xiaomi 10,000mAh out of all my portable chargers to be my to-go powerbank. The internal LiPo holds more energy than 3x high capacity 18650s because of the much higher operating voltage range compared to Li-Ion.

I’m about to receive the new Xiaomi 20,000mAh with QC3.0, which also uses LiPo cells, hopefully the same cells from this one. It should be very interesting to see how much better it performs vs the older model with 6x 3,350mah 18650 cells.

Excellent! Let us know when you get it.

Got mine a couple days ago and I’m impressed also.

Cannot do a lot of measuring but when charged/discharged, it heats up only barely. Tells something about efficiency.

Very nice, like it!!

Gearbest has now a Deal on it, 15.21EUR.
I would say for that price (I paid more) it’s a MUST have.

Is there any one shipping this to Australia? These two shops aren’t, Gearbest and Banggood. Ebay is about $10.00 dearer.

Try Fasttech.

Not in stock at Fasttech.

I have 3 here and have given 2 more away to my daughter and her husband, they’re great!

They are really nice. I especially like that with a double click of the power button, it’s in the always on mode so it won’t shut down when charging ultra low current draw devices like the Jetbeam Mini 1, etc. You’ll know when you’re in that mode because the 4 charge LED’s will flash one at a time. To exit the always on mode, just single click the power button.

Man these guys are running the competition.

I wonder how this would compare with Anker PowerCore+ 10050mAh QC3.0 power bank.

Just a guess, based on testing 20 powerbanks :
the Xiaomi will score marginally better, as it is a LiPo-cell as opposed to the Anker, which uses 3 18650's (based on it's dimensions and power rating.) LiPo based powerbanks always score a little bit higher in my experience.
