Low-cost copper pills, spacers, optics, drop-ins (Updated 23/10/2022))

Got the two P60 pills today thank you!

Bought one of his quads off e-bay months ago. It sat for a long time awaiting other parts. When I finally went to assemble it (still in original packaging), found the domes off 3 of the emitters and one of the emitters damaged. Tried to work with him through ebay but he refused to do anything. That’s pretty poor customer service.

Those who have real problems and use other way to communicate, we fix them asap.
Cheaters that cant provide any proofs for three month can go their way.

Wtf :person_facepalming:

Picked my S2+ triple pill and optics up from the post office yesterday, great packaging, complete with a handy storage box

Screws into my existing S2+ host fine and the LD-3 driver fits nicely, although I may have to shave a little off the retaining ring to get a bit more clearance on the moonlight components (not a problem with the ring, just my choice of driver :stuck_out_tongue: ).

Just need the green host and triple 219C to arrive now!

Kiriba, you may want to change the S3 inclusion from these threaded spacers. Current S3 have the integrated shelf for the emitter. Or include (Old Version)

Will work in the new S3 with integrated shelf but without a glass lens.

Still working on my copper collection from you. May make another order when the M2 Quad are back. Some nice new additions.

Yep, I had this message (Old Version) on ebay, have lost it moving here.
Not sure about spacer. Convoys have 2 reflector dimentions and S3 should have similar one to S2+. Need more feedback (some members have bought this spacers in 5-10pcs quantity, Im sure somebody else have mod his S3).

IIRC the S3 reflector is between the S2 and S2+ depth. I don’t have one anymore though so I can’t find out for sure.

Simon is selling reflectors for S2+/S3 20*12mm.

Maybe he changed it when he went to the integrated shelf, the one I used to have was the old version with a pill.

measured all my S2+ and my S3 reflector and all measure to 11.6mm

My S3 was bought recently as a Host, it is the integrated shelf Flat Balck new version.

11.6+1.2(center ring)+1.0(stock pcb)=13.8mm
7.2(spacer)+1.8(triple pcb)+6.0(optics)=15.0mm
Can anybody confirm any issues with Convoy triple builds?

I still have 3 of your standard Copper S2+ spacers, all measure 7.15mm, 7.17mm, 7.19mm

Noctigon DTP MCPCB is what is widely used in single and triple build
Here are pics of stacks I mocked for measurement.

Noctigon single XM-L with emitter and reflector spacer, S2+/S3 reflector and Stock Glass.

Noctigon Triple, your Carclo Quad and S2+ spacer

Noctigon Triple, your Carclo Quad and S2+ spacer and stock Glass

The stack without Glass works fine in the S3 Triple. Just the threads on the Stainless bezel to hold it together, only has a couple threads. I can not get it to start with Glass on top. I have no problem here just want to inform with my findings on currently made Hosts.

Also the S2+ spacer used in the measuring is the 7.15mm high. It has already been Lapped into the head of the S3 to make full contact and the top has been wet sanded Flat on glass surface. So material has been removed in head, on bottom and top of the copper.

Thanks for the info.
I can just suppose that hosts with integrated shelf are still rare in combination with triple, that`s why nobody have found it out earlier.
I need to check triple sets from KD height and make decision about required spacer height.

i have triple xpl and also nichia sets,if you need height…also on the new copper board…

Yes, please measure height (without extra legs length).

height of the legs?or the complete sets-legs joined with the board?the sizes are not posted on kaidomain exactly?

Welcome,
Wanted to point out a few observations on this one before it gets glued together.
The S2+ is assembled from the rear, total size is not as critical as on the S3. S3 only has so much room and no way to compensate.
I honestly have not tried to assemble it with the single emitter stack. Guess I should try before it all gets glued to triple.

OK, Single stack works but there is a small gap under bezel using the Noctigon and XM-L spacer. I also have the O-ring on top of glass. Thinner MCPCB or no O-ring will seat the bezel flush. Guess if your skill level is higher you could also use a flat pad spacer or omit the reflector spacer all together. Space is tight in there.

complete set without extra legs length.
