Imalent DT35 vs DT70? Which one and why

Yeah I bought both of them, with DT70 is still in custom somewhere in US, received DT35, first impression it’s a nice compact light,
works only with protected button top :person_facepalming:
No spring in the tail , can only be open from the top, problem is without the bottom spring, some of the batteries is uneven and didn’t make contact, thus causing issues with the turbo mode.

When I finally get it to work, ( for briefly few secs ) it has a nice tight beam but I really doubt the 8000 lumens claim.
I already known they always over rated their lumen claims, but nevertheless they do build nice lights.
I have few of their not so friendly budget lights

Hopefully, DT70 will go over 10000 lumens, at least more than haikelite, which btw can be bought for 3 of them for the price of DT70.But it’s a Christmas gift for myself
I’ll try to post a mini review of DT35 soon along with comparison beam shot with Nitecore TM16GT.

I posted a question somewhere else as well, but is there no compliance at all in the battery tube for the cells? I mean, I understand if you have four cells, it’s likely that one cell is not going to make proper contact. But this means all DT35/70 will have this issue; you must be lucky to have four cells that have really the same length… Sounds like a bad design to me then…

you already own a good-range-flashlight. one year ago we talked about the “beast” TM16GT……

i think the short range-dt70m should be the light that you are going to buy:-)

Haikelite just couldn’t clone my name and add it a Chinese twist? Nike - Naike

HaikeNike? Explains the shoelace though… hehe.

Hai ke is 骇客/ 黑客, Hacker in mandarin.

Maybe you want to wait for DT70Vn? btw if you want crazy bright light, there’s a member here is selling TK75 modded by vihn using 4 XHP 70, that’s a real eye scorcher…with Fenix deep reflectors it should throw well too, just don’t expect the runtime will last

I don’t care.

This is what I was thinking. And even the DT70 has a solid 700 m throw.

I think I will wait for more reviews, especially considering the reports of battery tube issues.

OMG please, the curiosity about that dt35 is killing me :weary:

Just got the DT70 today, they both are the same dimension and length ( DT70 is 1mm longer) probably just my light…
Unfortunately for m, somebody broke the seal on the box and the batteries were down to 3.12V,and the other 3 is around 3.4V and the manual are missing too, did someone from the custom or DHL play around with this light? :expressionless:

Didn’t really get to try the light yet, as both light are very sensitive regarding the batteries, my sanyo GA won’t wotk, even sanyo GA button top won’t work either.

Tried it with protected panasonic 3400B, it work briefly like maybe 5 secs before it shut down and refused to turn ON again. :person_facepalming:
So… I had to charge the Imallent batteries and maybe I’ll try it again before I go to sleep and compare it with Olight X7.
Well… in theory it supposed to be brighter than Olight X7 or HaikeLite MT03 since they both only have 3 XHP70

Now how am I supposed to figure the mode on this light? :frowning:

G'Day DayLighter,

Get the DT70 user manual from:

“Imalent DT35 vs DT70? Which one and why”

1. Both.

2. For various reasons. The DT70; to add another item to my collection, to share a performance slot with the TK75Vn Quad 70.
The DT35; to add a multiple XHP35 light of its size class to my collection.

The answer to “Why?” for me is because an item does what nothing else in my collection does (such as the X65) or because I am adding another item to my collection to share a niche with items that I already have, because I am interested in that particular niche.

3. When? After I read some reviews.

Thanks. The light has memory mode, so I can switch it on on low.

Please

I will wait for it, especially with regard to the fact that works only with protected button top

I do not have batteries protected, I hate them. They already they have put my life at risk

Any updates?

Or reviews?

This is where I stumbled upon this light and is why I am now searching forums top to bottom looking for more info.

Hope this helps. Cheers.

The consensus is Imalent still can’t build reliable drivers.
