Happy year of the Rooster to all our Chinese friends, being BLFers or making our hobby a bit mire affordable by working for Gearbest, Banggood, Fasttech, Kaidoman, DealExtreme, AliExpress, or any other vendor.

I wish you and your loved ones all the best in the coming year of the Rooster and hope you all return rested from your holidays, ready to shower us with new deals and surprises!

Thanks for the cool year of the Monkey, it brought us a lot of interesting things to play with.

And let me add my own “Mbuk, mbuk, mbuk!” to that, too!

Like!

Quote Miller:

Beat wishes for the year of the Rooster Chinese friends”

Wishes that Beat?… :innocent:

pffff

Good said Miller ! So european and so cooperative, thanks!

And i will add somrething more to our chinese/asian BLF friends here:

恭祝健康、幸运,新年快乐。
新年为您带来快乐,友爱和宁静。
愿一切最美好的祝福都能用这张贺卡表达,
真诚地祝您幸福、快乐、成功!

Probably Google Translate which will have resulted in insults

Well i am trying, started learning it 3 months ago, pls dont poke me  Its my 5th language and i was thinking that german is a hard one…oh boy …. and Miss Ma( the teacher) is a tough woman too

Lol in the title no less, edited, thanks!

Cool Mitko, 5 languages and serious too, impressive!

Dont worry, nothing offensive in the sentence… Its a little bit weird tho but overall they are ok. But hey, at least he is trying and thanks Mitko!
Wishing everyone a Prosperous Chinese New Year!

Is it typical for companies to observe time off from now til mid February? I was talking with someone from China and don’t know if I understood her correctly.

Probably got it more right than not. Check out the Convoy web site. Big banner that claims “Spring Festival holiday time: January 11, 2017 to February 15, 2017”

Seems like it happens EVERY year or something!! :student: I can’t imagine getting a month off straight, but judging from the news, it may take a week of traveling to get where you might be going over there at this time of year, then another week to get back home.

Was is so long last year? Or did Simon just do good and is able to take a well deserved holiday?
I thought two weeks was normal

Well, i dunno about you guys but i`ve been 2 times in China so far, once in Shenzen and once in Shanghai…you cant imaging the work load that those ppl are taking, a casual Eu citizen would never stand a year at that tempo
Hornestly, many of them cant too so the governmet decided for them to have 2 big holidays 2 times a year

Can you imagine a 150km long street with factories ? Thats Shenzen, you can find everything you need if you are a producer in a single concentrated factory spot: everything

Lots of luck and happiness for all our Chinese friends in the Year of the Rooster.

.

BTW - the official Chinese New Year does not last 2 or 3 weeks!
China is a huge country, especially from a European standpoint. It can take days of travel to meet your family.
I know I would not spend 90% of my holiday in a train, grab a quick meal, and than return to my place of work
So most people add some personal vacation days.

It seems to translate to English quite well:

Good health, good luck, Happy New Year.
The New Year brings you joy, love and serenity.
May all best wishes be expressed in this greeting card,
Sincerely wish you happiness, happiness, success

Happy Chinese New Year!

恭賀!
