DC-Fix Diffusion Film Sale

Maybe find a “disposable” lens to try it on, just in case it does trap heat.

And yeah, I forgot about that tiny detail of thermal imaging and glass. I was really not even thinking about glass. Most lenses in lights that I own are plastic. :stuck_out_tongue:

It shines through it, not on it, and it’s kept cool by the lens too, so i expect no problems.

Alright, I have received the first shipment! Cutting it up now to see how well it works!

still available?

Yep …
Just send me a PM and let me know what you’re interested in .

Sending a PM

Will send PM! Great initiative!

It’s in the mail …

thanks

Received after 9 days , that was quick .

Thanks Boaz

That was fast … 9 days to Greece is crazy

Thanks again Giorgoskok

Wow, i received mine too. Fast shipping! Thanks, works great. Noticing a slight tint change but very subtle.

just noticed this as i was about to send you a paypal payment. maybe folks can give me some advice…. im actually putting this on a led “cube” offroad light that i use for a reverse light on my atv. i currently have a homemade diffuser on there… basically a cover that i cut a bunch of lines in with a grinder to give it a wider pattern.

all i need is 2” x 2”… so size isnt an issue… but what would make the beam as floody as possible? and maybe be durable to boot? although ill probably put a clear cover over top of it for protection.

I’ve had some of this stuff for ages, but it’s still in the envelope Boaz sent it in. I’ll be building another BMF SRK with 3 x MT-G2s from a cheapo SRK host and will try it out then. A few questions though…

Does this stuff come off easy? Does it leave any traces that have to be cleaned?

Does this stuff change the tint? I’ll be sticking it on another MT-G2 SRK as I use them for photography, and want one that is more of a fill light so I need it’s tint to be the same.

Mike C: it’s easy to remove and wow the glass does NOT need cleaning! No tint changes. Wonderful.

One does need a noticeable increase in output, at least for my taste, but this is very subjective.

PM sent. Awaiting payment details

I’ll say it again because it bears worth repeating …
A normal Convoy S2+ at waist height throws a beam where the outer edge hits the floor at 4 1/2 feet in front of you ,
When you add DC-FIX the edge of beam hits the floor 6 inches in front of you instead of 4 1/2 ft.

If it doesn’t take every issue out of your beam …it certainly will take 95% of them .the harder part will be looking for more lights to add it to.

Go buy more lights

I paid it on February 22nd and received it on February 28th. This has been very fast!

Right now I don’t have the flashlight in which I want to use it (Convoy M2) and I don’t have the time either. But this DC-FIX looks great. I really want to try it and I’m sure it will work very well.

Thank you very much Boaz for your product, your help and the advice.

Thanks for the info. Got parts on the way so I’ll be trying it out… eventually…

When does one not need increased output? :smiling_imp:

Just sent PM for 2 sheets of DC Fix, I have 1 light in particular I wanted to use it on, I think I messed up the emitter (5700k nichia 219c) while reflowing and there’s a ton of rings and a tiny dark area in the middle of the hot spot. Normally I wouldn’t get too worked up over some artifacts but this one makes the light look cheap. Hopefully this fixes it
