Cree XHP50.2

Yes on Kaidomain.com.

Thanks for the heads up!

Wow, they are more expensive then I had hoped / figured they would be.

At least they have some good tints, too bad they are not high CRI as well. I have a sale pending, I might grab one after that although not sure I will want to risk it by running a test on it since I have a light I want to use it in.

Description says “high CRI” and i just ordered a 5A one.

Hmm… 3A is sold out already…

The part number in the picture shows a “B” in the CRI section which is 70CRI. 80cri is H and 90cri is U.

I think the description is just a copy and paste from cree which shows that these leds are offered in high CRI.

O, crap… :frowning:
I should have known….
I just went by the description.
Now i want to cancel the order actually…

The thing I’m most interested in is if they put the dies closer together, I’m presuming these are using the same flip chip tech they’ve been using on the XP-G3 and XP-L2 so maybe that makes it easier to position the dies closer and we’ll get better beams.

Indeed, looking at the pictures we have from the XHP50.2 it looks like they did indeed use this new tech.
Hopefully resulting in a more packed die, almost like the XHP35.

Curious about its increase in performance in both the lumen numbers and throw numbers. Also how to beam will look in a light.

If nothing else they most likely cover the entire surface with phosphor like the nichia 144A, that will drastically reduce the donut hole by itself.

If it is using 4x XP-G3 dies it is quite possible it could give the current gen XHP70 a run for it’s money and have a much more intense beam.

XHP70.2 plz plz plz

I did order a 3A one, if TA is not faster than me (I’m usually not that fast), I will test it to (almost :innocent: ) death.
The 7C that I also ordered will get a nice destination in a flashlight.

Awesome! :+1:

i cancelled it.
3A is sold out, but would’ve been ‘cold’ enough for me to care less about CRI.

Where did you order yours from?

Is Kaidomain generally regarded for selling real cree LEDs? I ask because I noticed that they were the first to have the 2nd gen XPL that I was aware of, and didn’t know if they have some special deal with Cree or could possibly be selling knock-off leds in some cases? Anyone have good/bad experiences ordering brand new to the market leds from Kaidomain?

The XP-L2 was available at digikey, mouser and others a bit earlier IIRC but KD is pretty good at getting the newest LED’s quickly and in good bins as well.

I want one of those XHP50.2’s bad, just waiting for some of my lights to sell. Anyone need an old school 5X SRK with XM-L2’s (one of which is dedomed) running FET+1 V2 drivers with thermal regulation and making over 4000 lumens each?

Any updates on these? I just ordered qty 4 from KD - they seem to be in stock now.

Cutter is a better price, but shipping costs are nuts. Very frustrating dealing with them - LED's are pre-mounted, rarely return reply emails, etc.

I ordered 2 a while ago, they have not arrived yet. will report!

I haven’t seen that one for sale. How much?
