Can't help but love this country of ours, ¡pijo!

Anyone willing to try a translation? LoL!

Cheers ^:)

Translates to English as “posh” the quality or state of being elegant, stylish, or upper-class.

In the vernacular, roughly a “Rich Kid’s Beer”

Not even close: “pijo” es/en @WordReference

You know, that first definition listed in WordReference is usually not the most commonly used when you hear such a word around here.

My translation: “DICK. What a beer!”. ;)

Cheers ^:)

Who’s the dude in the picture. I found potato chips with his picture.

Rich kid named Dick who’s the spokesman for the local crisp factory.

This is a new product from the same company which manufactures the “Pijo, ¡qué rico!” chips.

The story comes back to the moment when a rival firm launched the “Acho, ¡qué bueno!” chips not long ago. Because of their rampant success, Patatas Rubio S.C.L. reacted to it with a stylish and well done product (“Pijo, ¡qué rico!”) with the same marketing formula, which is a call to our very slang language.

Actually, I wasn't very aware of all of this “Chip Wars” stuff.

LOL… .English: lah-di-dah - posh - preppy - stuck up - stuck-up - swanky - elitist - swank - exclusive - toff

I’d say I was VERY CLOSE…. a little rich kid (preppy) is referrred to as ALL OF THE ABOVE…… :money_mouth_face:

We have an ale on the market shelf and the label reads “Arrogant Bastard”…

So, DICK does makes a lot of sense too…

Well, this one is a light ale (4.5% ABV), no wonder as that is the most consumed kind around.

And, well, tastes nicely.

Cheers ^:)

That “Arrogant Bastard” looks like a funny tasting experience; reminded me of “Voll-Damm” (7.2%).

But hell, paid €0.82 for that 33.814 fluid ounces bottle of Pijo at the grocery store, and absolutely zero apologies for such a decision. Really nice price/quality fellows.

Cheers ^:)

Yeh, I got one of their 3D bottles, too.
