Math, there are so many! The best thing to do is to just read the various sections of the forum. After finding a light you’re interested in Google is your friend. Most manufacturers give dimensions. It’s more difficult to figure out how bright a light is, and not all beam shots show what the beam is like as seen by the eye.
OK, you want a suggestion for a good and small light. What is small and what do you want it to do? I think a small light would be the Manker E11 or the GranVela K18, but small could also mean a C8. Many folks would consider the small lights I mentioned as being tiny. All of those lights I mentioned are good, but there are others as well. Since the word small is relative even a L6 could be seen as small as compared to other lights and personal experience.
A friend recently asked me to suggest a general purpose light that with cells and charger that would come in at around $30. We went over by a little, but I suggested good cells and a C8. The C8 is a classic light and a decent entry level light with good performance. In size it would be something like a 2 C cell light.
I really like the tube shape that fit in the hand, Im curious to compare the astrolux s1(blf a6) to the astrolux s41 there are about the same lumens and size but one have 4 led and the other have only one, I wanted the mecarmy because I like a good flood lightning and bought the astrolux s1 to have a more strait light of course no usb charging but still powerful enough
Id like to have a light that fit a 18650 or smaller battery with 1000-3000 lumens hehe
Astrolux s2 finally gave in for under 22 bucks shipped… :person_facepalming: Hey it’s not my fault nobody asked me what I wanted for Christmas! Got a Lg MJ1 that didn’t have a home.
Tool AAA Copper, had to order another after I inadvertently gave away my first one :person_facepalming:
Utorch UT01, figured I didn’t have enough AA lights…
I just got the Blf a6 non-ano version. A shitton of a light for less than $20.
In the mail is a clear convoy L6, 2 Keeppower 26650s, the Imalent DN70, and last but not least is the mean green Ultratac K18!
Have someone on here build you a x6 triple. One 18650 cell 3500ish lumens usually varies with LEDs chosen. Probably have about 5 mins before it gets really hot. You can build a s2+ triple same lumens but you have about a minute before it gets really hot. X6 has a good bit more mass. And if I use my x6 when its 30-40 degrees outside doesn’t get to hot
Back to the thread I have a vg10 on the way. It will get a xpl2 or a nichia 219c 5000k The past week 3 lights came back in from being modded up. X6 dedomed xml2 u4 1c 1450 lumens on turbo a6 driver no turbo timer
Sk98 a6 driver xml2 u4 1c dome on. Beryllium copper driver spring. Mini omten switch in tail. Hunk of copper to fill space. DD lumens unknown.
Astrolux s2 spring bypasses, original manker mcpcb and driver reused xpl2 w2 2b I believe 1850 lumens at 6 amps no turbo timer
Crelant V4A
