Klarus Mi7 Ti - Mods

Thanks very much, it is a 6mm x 1.5mm vial covered with UV glue.
I had to dremmel a groove out of the switch to have it recessed, it was a real pain to do but turned out ok.The black stuff in the cutouts is JB Weld. I wasn’t happy with the GITD stuff.

Very cool mod CRX! :+1: :+1:

I wish I could do it on mine Olive Mi7, but I’m still a (not that skilled) newbie.

Thanks mate, maybe one or two 6mm x 0.65mm trits with some uv glue would go nicely in the existing groove, just a thought.

Thanks for the tip Stevi  , but I’m affraid I’ll just screw it up if I try to do such a mod. My fingers are anything but small/steady and I’ve never been good at glueing (and dealing with) very small parts.

I really prefer this version ! The trit embedded in the switch is really smart !

Yes it’s much better, thanks

Its good to see the CRX mods continuing. :+1:

I hate you.

(Don’t worry it’s just jealousy :D)

Very nice mod. I love what you did with the switch.

Can you recommend a source for the Trits? My olive green Mi7 needs some bling.

Thanks,

Bob

Thanks mate, FastTech has some tritium options :+1:

Thanks for the recommendation. They have a huge selection.

When you say “existing groove” you are referring to the four existing that are parallel to the switch correct?

Thanks,

Bob

Yeah that was my original idea, I had ordered two 6mm x 1.5mm vials but they were too wide to sit in the grooves at either side so I decided to dremmel out the actual switch to make one fit.

I also thought one or two of the 6mm x 0.65mm trits could sit in the existing switch groove and be covered by a dome of UV glue but they would probably be better in the slots each side of the switch as it protrudes enough already.

Perfect. That’s what I was thinking and what my measurements said but I just wanted to double check.

Thanks for the quick response.

Bob

No problem mate :+1:

Is the head of your titanium MI7 glued?

Not any more

Was heat required or just some bicycle inner tube and some leverage required.

It is an awesome EDC light but I think wasn’t in my pocket for 30 seconds before it found it on due to that protruding switch.

Thanks,

Bob

The glue was not that strong, I ran the light hot on a 14500 and twisted the bezel off using a piece of rubber to grip.
The driver is also glued but come out fairly easy on this one.
Did you get any trits yet?

Thanks for the help. I tried with inner tube and a vise/vise grips but it wouldn’t budge.

Not yet. I am debating about what I want to do with them.

Thanks for the help.
