IKEA LADDA 1.2v NiMh - Great addition

Finally made the trip to ikea and picked up some of the White Ladda NiMh batts. (They also have lower capacity Tan Laddas)
They had a lot of them. They also have a cool online inventory check so I knew they had them before I made the journey.

$6.99 per set of 4. Bought AAA’s and AA’s

Nice and solid with a quality heavy feel.

All exceeded stated capacity 1016, 978, 964, 977mAh on the first batch

All charged to 1.54v

These are going in my LED headlamps.
Bought a batch of Harbor Freight 1.5 AAA NiMh batts two weeks ago so down the road a few years it’ll be interesting to see how they do compared to the Ikea Laddas.

I’ve learned a lot since joining this forum, still a lot to learn.
Seems almost every battery chemistry has something to offer. But sometimes it’s more than just buying “a” battery.
Seems if you really consider the demands of the specific application and choose accordingly, some batteries work much
better in some circumstances than others.

I had never really given that much consideration until learning from everyone here.

They sure are a great value !
In France I can order online and be delivered at home for 3,90€ so I don’t have to drive 2 hours to get them

Cool!

So how much is 3,90€ in USA dollars ?

About 4,20$.

You can use google for calculating that, just search for "3,90€ to $". Works also with any currency.

I know. I’m just a lazy American. :person_facepalming:

$4.20 is a really good price.

No need to be hard on youself ;)

Found LADDA's in IKEA today and they were on sale.

Around 4$ for pack of four white 2450mAh AA, 3,5$ for 4 pcs white 900mAh AAA.

Bought a lot of them :D

Whoa!
I don’t think they can be had for less than $7.00 USD here in the USA
That’s like close to 40% less

Went to Ikea yesterday (Melbourne Aus) and they only had the tan 1000 mah - white ones haven’t been in stock for ages - they said they’re having trouble getting the white ones (2400 mah?) for some reason

The Amazon aaa 750-800 mah are now on sale, perhaps to compete with the Ikea batteries.

Link??

Ladda 900mAh is more than 750-800mAh.

I only see discontinued Sanyo AAA eneloops for $10.65
Sanyo AAA Eneloop

and these
Acuvar AAA

I mean the AmazonBasics aaa rechargeable (https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B00CWNMXQW/ref=sxts1?ie=UTF8&qid=1485792851&sr=1&pi=AC_SX236_SY340_FMwebp_QL65), previously they were at a higher price. I’m not promoting anything or saying that they are better than the laddas, just commenting.

I apologize if I insulted you. I just looked them up and then posted back what I had found.
