I’m not sure, but I think that anyone who’s doing hasn’t heard about good logistics. :weary: I’ve noticed that GB charges extra for shipping (to Greece) a powerbank with built-in cells, when others (e.g. BG) don’t.
Yea weird because if it is a brand name battery bank should be no issues. These items should fall under a different shipping category.
I’m talking about a quality one (Xiaomi 10000mAh). I don’t know what’s it’s shipping cost to AU or wherever elswhere, but it’s extra 9$ to GR if some poor guy buys it from GB. Just think that it’s cost (shipped) was about $12 when I bought it about a year ago…
Yea i want to buy cells now. Its about 10 USD to ship here with GB. Usually i pay for faster shipping but that might be like 4 USD usually.
I understand it sucks! I think its still cheaper to buy from GB even with the extra shipping cost. I use to buy all my cells from fasttech ages ago i think now they are charging close to 8 USD each cell.

There is no sense unless they make an extra profit on some cells with shipping cost.
Before that couple months of stop to shipping li ion cells, they send to EU with Post NL at registred mail shipping with cost between 2-3 $…
And I aks them but no one know to answer me, why they stop to send with Post NL, when other sellers and stores and now shipp with Post NL like a Ali stores that you mention and much more others…

My 14500 batteries from Banggood shipped free to Germany. When ordering it said “CN Warehouse”, but they where shipped from NL (a P.O. Box in Schledam) per “FlytExpress”, priority, not declared as Li-batteries, the 2 cells lying in 2 separate 4-cell-plastic-hardcases, 9 days door-to-door.
This may in fact be a good idea. If you know about these packs, with cylindrical cells, please post. I’m actually interested in 14500 and 26650 ones, not 18650.

Strange thing happened:
Fasttech shipped me a 4 pack NiMH AAA and they charged some extra shipping cost because it’s batteries.
Not necessary for NiMH, but the package had a label on it: “LITHIUM ION BATTERIES”.

Power banks are classed as batteries, not as equipment and are supposed to be shipped as dangerous goods.
I did the same,because I couldn’t buy neither from BG,nor from Fasttech.It is their policy,that drove me mad,because they didn’t write in their site that they don’t sell to Greece,writing instead that the batteries Sold Out Currently!
So,I purchased from NKON.nl 5pcs of 30Qs at €26.82 included postage.

I ordered 6 liitokala 26650 from gearbest shipping was 12 USD. I felt the pain lol shipping cost more then 2 of the batteries. I really need more batteries but I would like cheaper shipping of course.
I was able to get 26350 unbranded Lithium-Ion batteries from BG last December 2016 with free shipping but they no longer sell the same battery now in January.
I recently found that FastTech does not offer free shipping for lithium-ion battery.
The only shipping method that they have for battery is UPS/FEDEX for about $38 for 4 batteries that I was going to purchase.
I am also having trouble getting my battery from a chinese eBay seller named SportSprite.
The batteries seem to have never got shipped or delivered and seller later tried to ship through Singapore e-packet.
It has been 7 days since it arrived in the United States according to the tracking info, but there has been no update since then.
I am afraid that this package has been confiscated by USPS/US custom.
I found that ironic.
Because I bought 2 Olight S1 Limited Edition and 1 Imalent DN70 and they shipped from HK and China.
All 3 flashlights had lithium-ion batteries inside. They went though US custom just fine.
I think Customs/Postal Service in western countries around the world are getting ridiculous with the Lithium-Ion battery shipping scare.
Laptops ship with Li-Ion batteries. So do digital cameras, smartphones and myriad other devices including many branded flashlights.

Here is a really good article that covers shipping restrictions of Li-Ion batteries.
Apparently the ban is for stand-alone battery cells that are improperly packaged.
However, if the Li-ion battery is contained within a device such as a digital camera, smartphone or laptop, it is deemed safe to transport over air.
Actually if it is a new camera, the battery is not put inside the camera. It is usually in a plastic bag.
Perhaps the reason why my battery order from BG passed custom inspection, was because the batteries were packed inside sturdy plastic cases.
I ordered about a month and a half Xiaomi battery pack from BG, that order was canceled and refunded next day by BG…
I live in Canada.
I received 2 X 14500 Li-Ion batteries from BG 2 weeks ago that were ordered in early November. Yet currently on the BG site I cannot reorder these same batteries.
Under Shipping is simply states ‘undefined to undefined’ and I am unable to change this or proceed with the order. This happens with most Li-Ion batteries on the site.
Yet there are several 14500 & 18650 batteries that state ‘Free shipping to Canada via Standard Shipping’ and allow me to continue to the final payment screen. I’ve written to BG twice about this issue but have yet to receive a reply.
When ordering li-Ion batteries on the DX website I simply receive the message ‘Due to new airline safety regulations announced by the ICAO, shipping of “pure power” products to your shipping address is not allowed.’ This is consistent on all 10 different li-lon batteries I attempted to order from this site. But DX did allow me to proceed to final payment screen when I ordered battery and charger kits.
At Fasttech website all shipping options are greyed out and I cannot proceed with any battery or charger and battery kit items.
Gearbest website tells me ‘We are very sorry, no shipping method is suitable for your order.’ when I select any li-Ion batteries or battery charger kit.
The 3 AliExpress stores listed in post #3 are unable to ship li-Ion batteries to me.
International Mountain Electronics charges $15.50 for shipping of li-Ion batteries to Canada.
It has become almost impossible to order li-Ion batteries to Canada from any source in China.
