KD (kaidomain): Deals and new products thread

i’ll be interested in quad pad / Tpad 20mm diameter that fit Carlo optic too.

i will get 10- 20 depending on price

no no no
I will help with the design.
Problems with traces short-cutting to the body can be simly fixed other way.

I want to mod my S2+ with a 219c triple.
I bought the LED´s from Clemence. Now i need the other Parts.
Will this fit? Driver is a MTN FET + 7135 Driver

And i want to upgrade my UF-1504 with a new XP-L2 LED.
Which LED should i take for max output? Driver is a MTN FET + 7135 or a LD-2 with a 100K current resistor (= max 9A)

I will use US18650VTC6 as powersource.

I just got in an assortment of the KD DTP copper stars a week ago… I have to say, they are really nice. They are flat, black and dimensions are good. I will use more of these.

Thanks KD, now I will have to order more led’s.

Matt

received mine too, very good packaging and quick shipping. My triples aren’t flat though. They are slightly bent and only a good amount of sanding makes them somewhat flat. Having said all of that - they work 100%. If anything this seems like a cosmetic issue.

Now I need to buy more emitters and hosts.

Warning KD Black stars, de-doming a couple XHP35HD E2-1A’s in racing fuel, and the substrate is lifting, guess I have a couple more 20mm copper spacers!

Ooh, that’s not nice… :frowning:
I wonder how they will hold up in regular fuel and other solvents…

I have a bunch of KD boards, and they’re all quite as flat as Noctigon.
Only the triple boards are deeper in the middle.

I did not try any triples, very happy with the Noctigon ones. I will have to watch them when removing domes, I always solder the led on before I soak them to remove the dome. Have not tried any of these in gasoline.

I hope that KD can get the new XP-L2-W2 LED´s until the BLF Q8 is ready to be sold.
This will be a lot of work and also not realy cheap but well worth. The Q8 + 4 new XP-L2-W2, a new XHP50.2 as upgrade for my modded TN31 (K40M driver with resistor mod and dedomed MT-G2 LED and i added a lot of copper to help with the extra heat), and a XP-L2-W2 upgrade for my UF-1504.

I have one question. I bought a few Cree MC-E RGBW LED´s. Now i need the MCPCBs.
Is this the right one for the LED?

http://www.kaidomain.com/p/S006044.21mm-Parallel-Star-for-CREE-MC-E-5PCS

Yes those would work

And don’t go over 700mA per die, that is really close to the max already.

I want to use 5 MC-E Led´s for the Lamp. It will be a Lamp for the living room. The led´s are pointing towards the ceiling. I want to use Aluminium profile 40*40mm and 50-60cm long.
Then a remote controller like this (Page Not Found - Aliexpress.com) which is controlling 4 of this drivers (http://www.ebay.de/itm/1-Stueck-1000mA-KSQ-8-32V-Input-0-30V-Output-dimmbar-/351975399530?orig_cvip=true).
And each driver controlls one color. Powersupply is 24V DC. And finally i have to find a optic with a really wide spot.

@djozz would it be better to reduce the current to 500-600mA/die? If all dies get 700mA the LED gets a total of 2,8A. I think that this could get really warm without extra effort regarding cooling.

I love your project! Very nice:)

The full 1a per die may be a bit much if all are on at the same time. But then again, if it were me I would find a way to use the full power  Can you add some cooling fins or added heatsink to your aluminum profile?

Edit: Actually I see that 700ma is the max rated current for these dies. I don’t think I would top that especially without a direct path mcpcb.

Any opinions on this new (?) driver for 6V leds? http://kaidomain.com/p/S026606.H1-A-20mm-3A-1-cell-5-Mode-Boost-Driver-Circuit-Board-for-Cree-XHP50-6V-MT-G2-MK-R2

Can it work with an e-switch? It would be nice in a Skillhunt H03

Finges I am currently working on a Narsil FET+7+1*7135 driver set up with thermal management

If the Narsil works out great I will have a spare H03 driver
The H03 one has too high voltage drops as the current has to go through the inductor and a small transistor
@3A the losses on the Skilhunt driver are 410mV, so a fresh 18650Q cell can reach 3A only with both springs bypassed for a short amount of time

And I dont like the timed stepdown
The UI is OK

An Attiny13A 7135*8 driver with eswitch firmware is also an option, but not priorized atm

You could get a XHP50 with boost driver in there, but I see thermal issues.

Does the H03 have a step down driver?
Does it work on 6 Volts too, or even 8.4 Volts?

No the driver I linked is for 1s only

It boosts the voltage from 1 cell to power 6V emitters like XHP50, MT-G2 etc.

The H03 has a stepdown driver up to 8.4V

I have never ordered from them... Just found some tail switches I need badly and signed up ready to place my order and it says account not activated...

Anybody know a US vendor with 12mm*8mm*8mm for sk68's. Ordering from anywhere else just ain't working tonight for some reason.
