Does anyone own one of these? If so, can you share some thoughts?

I am looking for a small-ish lantern with decent runtime that takes AA batteries and does not cost too much. If there is something better in this price range that I should be looking at, please let me know.

Thanks!

I have one of these in yellow. It’s basically just a mini version of the 3D Siege. It’s a rugged (lots of rubber over mold) little lantern in cool white. Magnetic base, removable globe and a carabiner for hanging as a down light. Really not a bad little lantern.

If you’re looking for another AA lantern in warm white with infinitely adjustable brightness than I’d recommend Black Diamond’s Voyager. These are a bit more expensive though.

Great lantern, I have been using mine for years. Very rugged and everything is glued, long runtimes with eneloop.

Thanks, all! Ended up buying one. I’m surprised how tiny it is in real life. Looks like a very rugged little light.

Great pic as always

Despite being few years old this one performs much better than other “modern” offerings with li-ion battery and usb when it comes to being an actual lantern, I have much brighter and longer runtime lanterns but all the times I needed one I always ended up using the siege AA. The design is very well thought out and the upper diffuser can be removed for direct lighting when hanging upside down from the camping tent. Not many lanterns can do that.

I am happy with this 18650
