I asked a friend to help me create a “picture” of what I think the bezel should look like. He’s pretty decent with CAD models and rendering images from said models. Some of you may have seen my friend’s work before. :sunglasses:

I think your friend did an excellent job of the “rendering” also.

Like you said…. a picture is worth a thousand words, and in this case with the language barrier ; it may well be worth about ten thousand words ….

I suppose I can give you a glimpse of what I’m proposing. As you know, the first prototype didn’t come out quite the way we hoped. Simon didn’t like it at all and wanted to just scrap the whole project. I think I may have him convinced to give it a second shot though. I knew I needed to help Simon see what I was envisioning so I asked a friend to help me create a “picture” of what I think the bezel should look like. That render looks awesome!~ :heart_eyes: Definitely dig the “brushed” look of it too.

If I ever get another C8, I’ll get it with Biscotti and this on the business end, even if I have to save up a month more to get it :+1:

Keep in mind these renderings are just approximations of what we hope the finished product will look like. My guess is that it would not look quite as “brushed” as the rendering but I have no reason to believe it will be polished. If you look at the finish on the photos I posted of the first prototype, that should give us an indication of what the finished piece will look like.

Actually, I am Polish but not necessarily polished.
I’m fairly certain the “finish” on the new version would be just like the “finish” on the last prototype I posted so it should be quite lovely to look upon…

Yes that's right a picture is worth a thousand words and the picture shows that J-Dub74 friend has a greasy hands and he does not clean the dust. LOL J-Dub74 you have to be more careful when choosing friends.

Not stainless, it’s polished aluminum

i like the non polish look. the convoy c8’s are matte black, so i think the bezel would look much better brushed.
do you think simon would give the early goer’s like us a discount? maybe a group buy, or a limited time order, or first 50-100?
$4 or even $5 would be pretty cool.
