Home Depot Deal Alerts & Discussion Thread

I have been following those same 4 items, none yet.
I am still in Ohio, and am finding other penny deals.
Also some things I know are a penny by now back home are still at the 6 or 3 price here
Yesterday I found a store that had the B&D power boosters we just talked about at $17.43. A friend that was with me bought 4.

I know where one of the BD bolsters is at, it’s in an obscure place. I’m going to wait for it to hit a penny. What was the date on his that he bought.

09/20/16

Which by rights should have been old enough to have been a penny

Ahh yes, I forgot they started at a .97 price and it took forever for them to switch to a .06

There are a number of august 2016 clearance items at my hd but non of them are cheaper when I price check. I keep trying but either I still don’t undrstand or my hd is immune to this phenomenon?

Depends on the item and the ending price. If it’s a light bulb they take a long time. If it ends in something other than 6,3,4,2 then it takes longer too.

I wasn’t able to post any pictures while I was away, but I took some!
I was traveling from CT thru NY to NE Ohio, then to Columbus, OH (Central Ohio)
Clearance prices on some items are definitely different, but others are the same.
Before and after my trip I bought a total of 15 of the $49 tool chest, so far friends have taken 9. Also while I was away, a friend called me while in our local store to tell me that the 52” Husky Workcenter was on sale at $209. I knew that, but up until then, I couldn’t find any. It worked out that the very next store I stopped in on my way out had 2. I bought and paid for them, telling them I would pick them up in a week on my way back. For some reason, that one item will not show up on the internet at $209. You need to be in the store to ask.
I also asked every store I was in during my trip the check other stores for stock. Everytime there were none within a 100 mile radius. I was very lucky to find the 2 that I did.

This store had 8 packs of EcoSmart LED bulbs for $12.00 (was 0.00)

While this store had them for $4.53

One store had a whole tray of these night lights that pennied out over a year ago.

These long handled loppers and pruning shear combo was at the “6” price the last time I saw them. I grabbed this last set at this store.

These push hooks rang up for a penny each at the self checkout register. Trouble was, I didn’t notice that the one on top of this rack was a package of 40, not the 20 that were a penny. It rang up for $6.98.
I had to tell the attendant to take it off, I didn’t want that one. She did and when she saw the others at a penny, smiled and canceled the whole ticket and let me have the penny ones for free.

I found these adjustable speaker mounts in several of the stores. They all rang up for a penny.

Those 2 FEIN tools rang up for $7.53 each. I also found a couple of universal adapters for these type of tools that were regularly $4.97 marked at 46 cents…. But they rang up for 33 cents.
In the background is a shot of a Ridgid Tri-Stack. The newer repacement model is on clearance. I saw them in multiple stores, and every store had them at the “6” price of 225.06. Last year I found the older model at $75.03, a killer deal.

During the trip, another friend from Missouri called me from his local HD to tell me he just scored 2 of the big CAT battery chargers and one of the 1000A boosters for $38.03. These are the same units some of us came across last year at those prices.

He took the 1000A booster apart to find a 21Ah Lead-Acid battery, NOT Li-Ion as we all had hoped.

I found some of the CAT stuff in Ohio, but not at the “3” price. Everything was at the “6” price, ready to switch any day now.

These weren’t marked down at all

One store DID have the 1000A pack at the “3” price, but they had sold out.

This store had both portable Li-Ion boosters that we have seen on clearance. The Battery Tender one and the B&D one, plus some other stuff we have seen, but not yet on clearance.

A friend that was with me, when he saw the B&D booster for $17.43, bought 4

I got a kick out of this. The very same fitting brush that is carried by Harbor Freight and priced at $1.99, is now on clearance at the “6” price of “only” $7.56.

Something to perhaps keep an eye on…………

Not too long ago, I caught the 100 piece tool set for $13.03 and the box wrench set for $5.02
Here is this years stock just starting out on their clearance journey.

I had already found some of these 8” under counter florescent lights for a penny. Here they are again.

And lastly, at one of the stores, just above the recycle bins, I saw these recall notices.
One of them is for the CREE T8 replacement LED tubes.

B&D boosters are a penny now FYI :+1:

DCH those passthrough sockets should be a penny too. I bought some extensions this am for 1c, that dates right too.

I haven’t seen any since I got back home. :frowning:
No penny deals either, but I did come across these clearance items.
This Milwaukee worklight that I posted about, and had some fun with here
Meet my friend Bob and his new flashlight
is on clearance.
Originally this worklight came out at $250.00, my friend got one for half that. On Black Friday HD offered a special combo deal including a 5Ah battery and charger for free! Now stores with leftover stock are clearing them out. This store has them for $225.00. The included battery alone goes for $120

While another store is $199.00

Some other stuff I picked up

This is a universal adapter that allows any brand of blade to be used in any brand multi tool.

These FEIN blades were found on a clearance endcap with no price. They checked out for $10.03 each
One package of Bi-Metal, and one package of Wood.

But they are packs of 3!

I bought one of these when it first went on clearance at $18.00

Then I saw them at $16.00 and now $14.00. I brought one up and got refunded the difference, $4
My local store had the Ridgid Tri-Stack compressors clearanced at $207.06, not $225.06 like other stores.

And lastly, this is NOT a Home Depot deal.
I just can’t help coming across deals on LED bulbs
A month or so I found 6 of these CREE 65W equivalent flood light bulbs for a penny a piece.

Yesterday I came across this display at “Ocean State Job Lot”, a regional chain found in New England and New York. With about 115 stores, they are similar to “Big Lots” and “Ollies”, but closer in style to “Ollies”

These are the same CREE bulbs I scored for a penny, now at OSJL.
Price is 99 cents a piece, BUT

This is a “Crazy Deal”
A Crazy Deal is a deal where after buying an item, you also recieve a gift card for a like amount.

So in other words, they are free.
Free beats a penny at HD, but not actually. There is the sales tax on $9.90, about 60 cents.
So those 10 bulbs cost me about 6 cents a piece.

3 c triple $8
3c triple

We can now get the Atomic Beam Flashlight in Home Depot!!!

Apparently they have been offered for sometime now, it’s just that I never bothered to notice

Seems like everyone else didn’t bother to notice either, so they are on clearance.
(reduced prices, no shipping or handling chargers)

Presently it’s only at the “00” price.
Sure would like to score 1 at the “03” price
NOT

The Leatherman “SideKick” originally $29.88 was reduced to an even $23.00, and now $15.04

Hard to find, but the twin pack of Milwaukee 11 in 1 screw drivers are 50% off at $7.54. In 2 weeks they will go to about $2.72 or so.

The single pack is still full price.

Likewise for the Milwaukee knife set.

Some stores may still have them at a discount of $12.00, but they should be reduced at any time. Imagine in a couple of weeks a “2” price of about $3.82
These cheap lantern battery lights are now on clearance at $4.00 or $3.80. A single emitter and something like 70 Lumens. Includes the 6V lantern battery. Last year I modded one of these lights with an XHP-70
“My XHP-70 ”Sleeper Light Mod”:My XHP-70 "Sleeper Light" Mod

Here is a nice clear case with combination lock.

I am now seeing the 2 pack of “C’ celled Maglites at $19.00.

Last year for the Holidays, HD had an AA and AAA Maglite combo that also started out at $24.98 (a good deal!) that eventually went to $6.33. I am hoping these will also survive to a price of around $6.33.
If they do…………………………………

They sell those atomic beam's at Wal-Mart. They are on the as seen on T.V. isle. I always male sure if we are going to Wal-Mart I take a very juiced up light with me in case I see someone looking at them lol.

An employee walked by as I was testing one. They had one set up.
As he walked by, he yelled “as seen on TV!”
I stopped him, and showed him the difference between my $3.50 SK-68 with stock driver and modded with an XP-G2.
My light which was half the size, but running on a 14500 Li-Ion, was easily twice as bright.

I think it was TMart that had a similar light as the Atomic Beam that on 2 different occasions I purchased for $2.99.

My 68 is set up with the same emitter and some driver mods. It will blister any off the shelf muggle light. LOL.

I forgot to mention I found this 12V, 5A LED power supply today for a penny. It was sitting right out in the open on a clearance table. With a date of 07/15/16, it was certainly old enough, but with all the recent disappointments I wasn’t too optimistic when I brought it up.
I went back and looked for more but couldn’t find any. This one caught me by complete surprise as I hadn’t been following it. It certainly will come in handy.
With an original price of $69.97 :confounded: I am constantly amazed at what some people are willing to pay to be on the “Bleeding edge of technology”

I found 2 of the 30 watt/ 2.5 amp PS the other day—I had to pay $9.33 —I didn’t want to chance loosing them

Yesterday I came across a second one. It was an open package in a strange place, but it scanned for $69.97

I did come across 3 of these 200 piece tool sets. I grabbed the only 3 for 2 different friends, I actually had found 1 at the same price last year for myself. In a few weeks, if anyone can find one, they should go for $25.02. The only chance of finding one though would be if it is found somewhere unmarked. After all, the store that had the 3 at $50.04 was cleaned out after I came along.

A couple of other deals I saw, but did not buy.
2 - 4Ah Ryobi battery packs, $59.00

35’ Laser Measure, in a couple of weeks they will be around $7.52

I’ve been slacking lately, haven’t been in a while. Accumulating too much stuff that I don’t need just cause it’s a penny! lol. That’s a good deal on those batteries, I wish they would clearance out some Dewalt batteries!!
