Review : Utorch UT01 Flashlight (XP-L V6 / AA & 14500 / e-switch)

GeeSuS Christ….been in Alabama for over 2 weeks now for all I know and not one update to tracking. International Bridege gets the SUCK AWARD! WTH ! Looks like I will have to request NO IB SHIPPING from GearBest in the future. This is the second time this crap has happened……no more in future…Shame on IB !! :expressionless:

I don’t see any pics in the review.

Unfortunately sli.mg deleted them .

I have re-uploaded them , i just need to fix the image links . Today or tomorrow i will do it .

Why is anybody of the belief (which has probably been offered previously) that ANY “tracking” originating from (???) is not only legitimate but connected to a package that was actually ever sent?

When you’re already forced to wait 60 days before somebody will quit sending the same old tired answer to simply switch to another demand asking that you send even more money…why in the world would one believe that any package was even sent in the first place?

Again, a “tracking number” from “who” owned and/or controlled by or in cahoots with “who” with a longstanding record of “what” ???

LOL…so never order anything from anybody and never fear…

If “fear” of actually receiving anything from ??? is ever a factor in ordering…good advice.

According to buddas reviews the E11 / UT01 emits more OTF lumens.
750-650 Lumens

Versus 587-527 over roughly the same time duration…. first 3-4 minutes after turn on.

The reviews were posted 2 months apart. Some variables could be measurement methods, condition of the batteries after 2 months of use, random sample variations…etc

taken from here:

It should also be noted that the Klarus despite being dimmer on initial burst, remains brighter for a longer duration (10 minutes extra). It is also better regulated over that time as the 14500 depletes. So the E11 and UT-01 sacrifice run time and regulation in favor of initial turn-on burst (775L). So after ~7 minutes the Klarus becomes the brighter light.

pics ok now

My UT01 DOA.

Not work with any battery :frowning: With battery it consumes 4.8 uA, no reaction on button press, nothing…

It could be a switch issue again. I bought many of this light and had several issues with the switch.

I’m pretty much disappointed with these switch issue because I really like this light over the Mi7.

On a side note, I also had several Mi7 with switch issue. :open_mouth:

It sounds like the Mi7 and the UT 01 use the same switch. I have one on the way from GearBest. Hopefully I will have better luck. I will post when I receive mine. It will probably be another week or so before it arrives.

giorgoskok, can’t see your photos, but assume they’re the pretty much the same as E11 tests since it’s basically the same light-
I see the output drops after app 2 min.

Can you manually restart after lets say 30 sec, and measure the output, like in this review:

I ask that because I want to know do you get that 700~ lumen just once when the battery is freshly charged, or you can get that 700~ lumen for longer period of times, till the battery depletes or so. Does that drop happens because of temperature protection kicking in maybe?

Thanks

Uh, I have one on order :expressionless:

my switch is faulty too, after of 10 click the switch dont work, what are you doing you guys, paypal or talk with gearbest support?

I received full refund but I didn’t order from gearbest.
Has anyone found a good solution to the switch problem? Replacement switch? I have no experience in light modding. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

After what seemed like an eternity, the UT01 arrived today. Perfect swittch and perfect UI functioning. Nice light for sure. NW tint is nice white color…not yellowish like some of the other Manker NW’s. :+1:

Got my second UT01 today to replace the one my wife claimed to replace a Convoy S2 1.4A light that she was using (and I feel much better her having a AA NiMh light in her purse). Everything works fine and hopefully the 3rd I have coming in will also work as it should.

First make a video “clearly demonstrating the faulty switch” then show them the video and ask for suggestion. It has always worked for me no problem.

You can always return the defective light back to the seller for replacement. Its really worth the effort to get a working UT01. I dont use any of my Mi7 anymore since I got this light. Go figure
