LiitoKala 26650-50A 5000mah 26650 - great first impressions

Is there anywhere to get these with free shipping any more?

Just ordered qty 4 of the singles - shipping to us is only $3.73 now for qty 4, much less than previous. I was able to use some pts so got it down to $21.95 shipped for 4.

haha, I did the exact same!

GB ones are exellent though! The last 5-6 shimpents came kinda slow yet they are from the good ones

After 40-50 cycles mine still test at 5200 mah on my opus. I do tend to baby them. No more then 1 amp charging usually very rarely 2 amps. And if no other cells need charging I’ll let them charge at 500mah overnight

Edit wanted to add my opus slightly undercharges. So capacity may have been slightly higher if it was charged to 4.20 or higher. I regret not getting another 4 of these cells last summer. I regret not stocking up on old xpg2 as well. But I digress.

My vc2 goes to the high end of 4.23-4.24 which is fine with me its within spec. My liito 100 overcharges. Just saw the other day 4.27 and was on the right setting. Wonder how long its been cooking my cells.

Did these work in your L6 without modification? I was wondering if they will need a solder blob to work in series?

It depends sometimes two work with no modification. And sometimes they don’t. The jaxman connecters work great. And cheap. I ended up taking a small knife and bending each of the openings on the top just barely up so they make contact. Works flawlessly now. Its luck of the draw some peoples work in series without a blob or connector and some don’t.

These are flat tops and will not work in the L6 without modification. I just bought a Jaxman battery adapter instead of trying to solder on the batteries.

I have a dozen of these cells bought in 3 separate purchases from 2 different suppliers.
Yes they are flat tops but over half mine, 8 out of 12 I think, work in series as they are.
Impossible to see if they will work in series unless you try (I initially assumed none of mine would).
If they don”t then solder blob, Jaxman cell connector or a slight bend of the button top will sort them out.
The ones that work in series with no mods I use in series in a Thorfire S70 & a Z1 XHP50 with no problems :+1:

4 of my liitokala 26650 arrived today… I am happy with the liitokala direct store and AliExpress… 24 days to get to USA…

i shaved the wrapper with an xacto knife where it overlaps the bottom of the cell.
mine work in series reliably now.cut at the very corner of the can.

Stumbled across this thread when researching 26650 batteries

Found the following LiitoKala battery from AliExpress, which seems slightly different to the ones listed on this thread. Is this the same battery? Unfortunately I can’t use BG or GB as they both currently won’t ship batteries to Australia.

3PCS LiitoKala 26650-55A 5000mAh 26650 Li-ion 3.7v Rechargeable Battery for Flashlight 20A 3.6V Power batteries - US$14.50 before shipping

Looks like newer version.

Got 4 like this last week and they test 5600mAh on Lii-500

So your 4 are identical to the ones I listed from AliExpress? Can I please ask where you got yours from?

They have the same sticker as pictures show.

Ordered 4pcs from this link:

Can you do better than this?: https://www.aliexpress.com/item/VariCore-26650-lithium-battery-3-7V-5100mAh-26650-rechargeable-battery-26650-50A-suitable-for-flashlight/1000004111041.html

Cheers :-)

Thanks guys. Sounds like the 5100 mAh version is the newer version. Either that, or it really is the same cell, just re-labelled with 5100 mAh, as opposed to 5000 mAh on the old ones you guys have ordered previously

Both sellers seems to have good ratings (>98%), and the good thing is both sellers seems to ship to Australia, but with different shipping costs. I will likely go with the one that has the lowest delivered price since there is not a lot to differentiate between the two sellers.

Newer version? I think you mean newer sticker, ssschen.

I don't @#$%ing care about stickers, to me the only thing which matters is the OEM wrap and markings. If it says INR26650-50A, that is what it is.

For the same reasons I do not buy “Samsung 3000mAh” cells. I buy ICR18650-30Bs, INR18650-30Qs, INR21700-30Ts… (“s” suffixes stand for plural).

I do not read wraps, I read datasheets and reputable reviews.

Cheers ^:)

I have 5000mAh labeled version I bought few months before from the same seller and Lii-500 test is about 5100mAh, 5100mAh labeled test as 5600mAh on the same charger so I believe they are not the same.

Well, if the cells are really different I may piss-off, though I doubt it. I have a couple cells from the very first batches (june 2006) with nearly no use, known to be generous in capacity. Hope they match up well if I am to buy a single cell for a 3S arrangement.

Cheers ^:)
