Some notices to DQG Tiny 26650 V3.0 (post by designer and producer: GEORGE)

Hi, Mike. thanks for your inform, can you remember if there have any glue sign at the crew of the battery tube? I just remember I does do this process of gluing after Chinese market, they are first run. maybe the glue is so little or I forget glue by radom.
about modify, what do you want to do? if you want to reach more output, stacking resistors on the turbo mode resistors (biggest resistors on the board), but as I said, if you lucky got good performance of driver or LEDs. be carefully doing this, there have replacement driver backup now.

Hi, about UI, you mean same UI compare to 18650 IV? this does a question, at begining of design, I does decide using 18650 same UI, but after discuss with a flashlight fan, he told me for 26650, most using area is outdoor and only most fraquency use middle and high mode, seems 3 click for high mode is not so humanity for fraquency application. I agree with he.
so, I decided to make a change of UI.

Hi, sorry, these brass beauties is not my design. but there will be brass made tail click AA series flashlight come out this year. the housing is producing now.

It’s good to see you communicate with us, George. :+1:

Hi George! Thanks for posting and for providing your lights. They are unique and though smaller lights continue to develop, yours have lead the way. I like that you think out of the box, for example: no one would have thought that the tiny3 would be wired in series. I think it was a great choice and must have been more work for you as there are less examples of this high of boost driver in the flashlight community. Anyway, I hope you have a business plan moving forward and will continue on by growing your one man business?

HI George,

I was very interested in your 8650 Tiny 4 but pull back because of the switch issue. Now that you said it’s fixed, I’m ready to get one. Can I know from which online resellers do they stock this new improved version? Thanks in advance.

nice to see you.

yes, 3th have 7 led in series, the drive voltage will be around 21V, nearly reach SELV (24V) resist for luminaire appliance.

I have no business idea and plan, just doing as “let a thing slide”, in chinese: shun qi zi ran.

You can find at banggood, gearbest etc, I think they are zero stock sale mode, so, you can get light with new switch.

George, thank you for your excellent work!

Are you able to make your design available to BLF members as a host only?

Hi George, nice to have you here. My DQG 26650 3 driver was broken at the factory, but banggood sent a new driver. It’s really not difficult to line up the switch properly. I sanded down the tips on the new driver so it’s lightly press fit and doesn’t fall out when removing the tube from the head when greasing the o-ring. Enjoying the light very much, thank you!

edit… I have both the NW and the CW, and neither one had any glue anywhere.

Hi George, how nice of you to start a thread here on BLF.

I have always liked your flashlights and have bought most of them. They are always as small as possible and it is interesting to see your solutions to make it small, and to see the evolution towards better designs.

But what I most admire are your drivers, always custom made without PWM, and this 26650 III driver is another very special one! Making good flashlight drivers appears a very rare skill, many flashlight manufacturers are not able to make them well, and yours are always very good.

I hope for many more nice DQG designs, it’s good that there are folks every now and then ‘without business ideas and plans’, it certainly resulted in a series of special products

I can wait to see this beauties. Any information about when (the month) it will be released?

Offtopic, about tiny 18650:

  1. why you used rubber button instead metal as it was in previous rev?
  2. what about to put a magnet to tailcap in next revision. It would be a great improvement for edc flashlight

Welcome George and thank you for discussing your thoughts/ideas, DQG 26650 lights are outstanding!

Best of luck going forward.

Hello George, Great work, I love your 26650 lights.

I am sorry, I am not so understand your mean.

WOW, nearly 5 reported plus yours without gluing! usually I am very proud to my memory, almost not use notebook to help remembering. maybe I should Introspection myself now.
when do you purchase your lights? from banggood? they are first run out of China.

thank you, dear friend. about drivers, yes, they all custom made, it does not so easy to design as small as could still with good performance, usually need special components, they are expansive and rare, sometimes need to cost many time to locate the real producer. and sometimes I need to bag them to supply lower quantity of order to me, I think you know what I mean, ha.

no excect time, but I think will soon.
