22nd Feb: I sent payment and email, but left out a phone number and got an address query because of the second set of ‘area code’ digits in some (all?) US addresses. Received a response from Thorfire asking for the information.
24th Feb: While paying, PayPal defaulted received currency to HKD which is NOT what Thorfire wanted so they sent another message stating that payment currency was inappropriate and to take ‘X’ steps to prevent PayPay from changing payment currency. (I could not follow the steps.) They also said that the VG-10 s I ordered ‘will be delivered soon’ and that when they receive a tracking number, they’ll let me know it.
25th: I haven’t received a tracking number as yet. (Will EDIT when I do. )
EDIT: 27th Feb: Received a tracking number (No information as yet.)
Out of curiousity, for those of you who paid, did Thorfire’s received currency default to HKD too?
Yeah, I messed up my PayPal order as well. I read and understood the request from ThorFire to pay in USD, so when I did PayPal I selected USD and thought I did it right.
But PayPal CHANGED the payment “behind the scenes” to HKD. There is a special setting you have to change to avoid PayPal “dynamic currency conversion” it seems. I would have done it, if I had known.
