Quickest and most reliable Gearbest shipping method right now: America Line / IB

I read the post above about battery shipments from GB……My NON-battery orders got here on a rocket sled……but battery orders……

I’m wondering if maybe GB is forced to pay extra for battery shipments and they’re just passing the costs along?

Anything but batteries seems to do great. Overall happy with GB….just wish they’d do better on the tracking info stuff.

Correction: It was an 18 day nightmare of Radio Silence and foolishness :smiling_imp: Arrived in Huntsville, AL Warehouse Jan 30. Then FINALLY moved to Atlanta,Georgia on Feb 17. wth? :smiling_imp: Crazy, as that’s 180 miles (correction) EAST of Huntsville,Alabama !!.. :smiling_imp: Going AWAY from me ! What a screwy shipping parnter. So, it seems the IB Warehouse is in Huntsville, AL, BUT then, they had to go (correction) EAST (backwards) 180 miles to the Atlanta, GA airport for the last leg of the trip??? WTH? HXLL if I know… :person_facepalming: It, (UT01) arrived at my door Feb 21.

I hear you on the sitting at the warehouse for 18 days part…. that part is crazy for sure! :+1:

But to complain about which direction it goes in when it does leave the warehouse migth just be a bit silly…. unless of course you know their logistical schedules & shipping route connections.

Bottom line is…… it arrived at your door all the way from China.

Also…… Atlanta is EAST of Huntsville, you are West.

Just curious, have you ever had a positive experience with IB?

So, I corrected my directions. Thank you.

No, I don’t know their logistical schedules. But someone could save some time I’m sure by going in the proper direction towards the delivery site rather than 180 miles in the opposite direction. Silly of me I know, but this is the sort of “icing on the cake” that makes a bad situation even worser felt.

I’ve had ONLY 2 IB shipments EVER. Both poor and long drawn out transitional experiences. Luck of the draw I guess. But very memorable to say the least.

Bottom line is, I payed extra for inferior service. The standard shipping would have been sufficient.

I blame the partner IB, not Gearbest.

Yeh, bottom line I finally got it.

No problem….
I can understand why you are pissed too….
2 for 2, your batting 100% just like I am. Except yours is in the “Bad Luck” column. :person_facepalming:

My order has been sitting somewhere for just shy of two weeks. If it is still sitting there tomorrow I will contact GearBest.

I have never had this happen with GearBest. I guess my luck ran out.

:person_facepalming: …. It doesn’t even tell you where in the USA it is hung up either does it. Sad, sad, sad…………… :person_facepalming:

I think you need to order a Panda to get reliable tracking :crown:

You can’t trust the tracking info from Pos Malaysia. According to the tracking info, below my shipment never made it to the USA. This was delivered to my door on 3/6, 19 days after the last scan.

Anyone else have an issue with Gear Best saying that an ordered item cannot be shipped via IB/America Line & then ask for an additional fee to ship it via a slower method?

Never so far.

Anything with Li cells? Even coin cells?

I ordered (from FT, not GB) a doodad with a teeny remote, and that had to go by Singapore Air.

N days in transit, not very informative, but I finally got it.

Might’ve even been signed for, but no indication on the tracking page that the signature was recorded.

Nope. It was for a light (HC30). Ordered before the Chinese New Year so I wasn’t surprised when it didn’t ship right away. About two weeks later I got a msg from them saying it couldn’t be shipped by that method. Then they asked for an additional $1.70 to ship it by an equivalent method (which turned out to be DHL).

I was annoyed but enough to fight too much (made the argument with myself “It’s only $1.70”) so went ahead and paid it. That is less of a hassle than arguing back and forth.

The light arrived yesterday. On the positive side it was a fast turn around from DHL, on the negative…it arrived DOA.

Sigh.

After several orders since my previous post where I also required assistance, I found an easy solution to tracking my packages. If you pay for tracking, this method works. Well, it does for my location among the masses, anyway. I did not read all the previous posts to see if what I am posting has already been posted.

And you can dick around with the url if need be, so if you have

www.whatever.com/tracking?this=that&trackID=1234567890&lang=en

you can always rearrange it to

www.whatever.com/tracking?this=that&lang=en&trackID=1234567890

so that the tracking number is last. Makes it easier to c&p.

Try it and make sure it works (never know when you get an overly anal-retentive website).

Then, all you need to do is c&p the tracking number, pull up any url to www.whatever.com, then just overwrite the old # with the new #.

Lather, rinse, repeat for other carriers (USPS, UPS, FedEx, PostNL, SYPost, Singapore Air, whatever…).

That's my method, and (KeepItSimpleStupid) was my plan. I bookmark all carrier links to use as you mention.

I save them to a folder on my tool bar for quick-click convenience, and adapt the number for tabbed tracking of all my packages.

Once the package arrives, I delete said bookmark and carry on.

Quoting my own post from 3/6 - today is 3/14 and I still haven’t seen any of my four orders, the earliest of which I placed on 2/13. What’s a typical shipping time to the US with GB’s free shipping option? I’m getting impatient

I placed an order on February 13th and according to the tracking it has been sitting in the US since February 23rd. When I opened a ticket last week they said that it can take 30-35 days.

Interesting that we ordered on the same day.

Bob

I hesitate to order from GearBest now without tracking. Sad. Used to be pretty much OK.

Even with tracking through IB, my last order was a nightmare in slow motion.

Granted, nothing has ever been lost, but it’s just the… L O N G …waiting and not knowing, and no tracking updates that bother me.

I know you guys are frustrated. :person_facepalming: … :frowning: … Package just sitting somewhere in the USA since February 23, 20 days at this point; is just amazing……. in a bad way. :frowning:

If I read your posts correctly it does not even tell you where in the USA either does it?

To give an example of my personal continued good luck using the USA Express option with GearBest, which usually comes into the USA through America Line(IB) (International Bridge) or America Line(SF) before being transferred to the US Postal Service for final delivery.

On 7 March 2017 I placed an order with GearBest, the package contained three items which total cost were under $60.00 US. The shipping cost to use USA Express was $0.90 for this package. This package happened to come into the USA by way of IB. The USPS has it and it is scheduled to be delivered to me tomorrow, 16 March 2017.

For me, that was a .90 cents well spent.

Tracking has been accurate as always . When IB or SF hand the package off to the USPS, start tracking by USPS Tracking for the most up to date results. :+1:

I think you guys packages will show up, but I sure do hate it for you. Sitting in the USA for that long is just shameful……. :frowning:

Good luck…………. :+1:
