For anybody considering the Tenergy PROTECTED cells from ebay seller marrsinc, here's a response from them sent to me today:
Sold out of the protected at this time. Do have several pallets we have not gone through yet. Will start that next week. We do not have an inventory, but had this battery on several different occasions from this lot. They were one of the best sellers, so must be pretty good. Check our auction in about a week.

This will probably get lost but I just had to say how damn excited I am about this flashlight.
I love it on their site where it has the 4-mode strobe for "non-flashaholics" and the 4-mode/step-down with turbo . . . up to 5 amps for 20 seconds. "High is still very bright . . ."
"Turbo mode is direct drive. The current is up to 5 amps per LED, which is over-driven for an XM-L."
What "flashaholic" wouldn't like all that?

main reason I got the step down..wife and friends..they grab it to use it and don't understand it's intricacies..rather have it step down and be safe..

hmmm, I don't want anybody to touch my DRY. but since the possibility exists, I'll have to come up w/ some (very) easy way to disable/enable it.
Yea.... If I don't get ahold of ric in time to change to Version A then its no biggy... I'll be super happy with either one, I'll just have to keep my friends/family away from my DRY :P
