Amazon Deal Alerts & Discussion Thread

At the time of my post there was a flash deal going on and it was $22.40, right now the price has gone back up but you can find the exact same lantern under other brands for about $28, or pay $36 for this superway one and get a smaller 4,000mah version free.

Runtime was Over 20 hours on high and 70hours on medium, not fully flat but a steady drop to about 50% power then LVP kicks in. Review should be up this weekend.

Saw this on Amazon after noticing GB had a sale on the Solarstorm K2 for $16.
Had to grab it at $7.99, even if it is a few years old…
Only 8 remaining at time of this post.

Thrunite Ti5T (titanium alloy) Cree XP-L LED flashlight - $16 shipped w/ prime

Astrolux S41 for $31.99 Prime.

I was looking for some short KP protected 26650 cells for a friend and came across this deal on protected KP NCR18650B.

Next best US price I could find was ~$41 for different brand protected NCRB’s with slower shipping.

$36 with 2-day prime seems pretty good.

Buying lithium ion batteries through Amazon from a third party seller calling itself a Grocery already seems strange enough, but one named Bang Bang ???

I purchased those same cells linked from that seller. I made a similar comment at the time to wife, odd name indeed… Bang Bang Grocery, hmm… not sure what they’re aiming for here. Nearly two months later and no issues with the batteries far as I can tell! Try CamelCamelCamel and paste the AMZ link there to check the price history of an item, see if it’s really at an all time low and if there’s a pattern to price fluctuations

It’s fulfilled through Amazon. You can pick the other Supplier if it makes you feel better.

Either way, they can be returned for free if you notice anything even remotely out of place with them.

Always have liked Pannies, been pleased with Keeppower, and had good luck with Amazon, both from and through them: but I don’t need any Panasonic Bs or protected cells at the moment.

I have still been trying to figure out how much truth there is behind rumors they bin merchandise from different sources together at times.
Hard to imagine how they deal with returns, defects, counterfeits and serial numbers. Prefering not to believe, it is easier for me to attribute it to gossip, disgruntled employees, or competitors.
Still, after pointing out well recognized falsehoods involving fallacious flashlight lumen and battery mah claims, they either don’t pay attention, avoid doing their research, or seem not to care at all.

So what is up with the free Thor fire led color changing bulbs? It was posted in blf deals alert. Use the coupon and get it free. And it worked…

My bad, I meant to post it here, as this thread is what inspired me to search (“thorfire bulb” on Amazon) for those high CRI bulbs discussed above. I couldn’t find those, but it seems TF has a high rate of clearancing out old stock (ie VG10, bulbs, headlamps… lots of sold out listings)? I’m not sure the reason why they’re so cheap, but I’m sure you can tell I’m excited to report the deal haha.

It worked for me, and as vwpieces pointed out in the other thread, so does buying multiples. I made an order of 10 bulbs + 1 remote = $11 (and free 2 day shipping with Prime); quantities adjusted in cart after coupon applied. If I understood my father correctly, he got 6 + 6 for $12. Price goes up slightly from free (hard not to…) if you add more quantity than 1 + 1, but the coupon says 90% off qualifying items, and it’s still a killer deal. However, the code only works once per account, I believe; curious I tried to test it a second time, and see if it would also apply to any of their lights and altogether nogo. Fortunately, a lot of their lights seem to have (more realistic) promotions listed anyway

Here’s the link to other thread & repost:

Free RGBW smart bulb with remote, app, and over 16+million colors.

Scroll down to promotions, click Add Both to Cart (bulb + remote), then apply this coupon YALYTTXW before checkout. Checkout should then be $0.00

Thanks ThorFire! Big Smile

Deleted my post in the BLF Deal thread.

I ended up with 4 bulb sets and 4 remotes for only a couple bucks, I had a $15 “Warehouse Deal” Dell 90W AC power adapter in cart so I pulled the trigger.
Remotes will be here on Saturday, the bulbs and Dell AC will arrive Sunday.

No idea what I will use the bulbs for but Heck if I can dial in a nice tint I’ll use them as a simple remote light.

And thanks for the heads-up.

Thanks for the thorfire Amazon link. I have some free stuff on the way as well. Better than a penny deal at home depot!!

does not seem to work for me, must have gotten wind and changed the page now.

Here is a video on the TF remote bulb.
I gave up trying to figure it out, but fortunately Julian had a vid.

Just got my free light today. Thanks for the tip!!!

It works good and it’s actually brighter than I thought. One thing that bugs me with all these types of RGBW lights: why can’t they just make it so white can be on at the same time! I don’t really have use for colors but I love messing around with dynamic whites. Whites with a bit of color for different moods but an all out color isn’t very useful unless you are a college student with an itch for disco parties. Also, I would like it if they would let each color be controlled individually-along with white. I bought a bunch of these a few months back imagining dynamic white in my kitchen and dining room but was dissapointed to find how they really worked. So I have a bunch of disco lights that will unfortunately be sitting around doing nothing. That is unless I can figure out how to reprogram them:)

Did anyone else end up with lots of extra remotes? I bought 6 lights and 6 remotes and they ended up shipping separately. The remotes showed up Sunday, and then the lights today, each light ended up having a remote attached to the box. So now I have twice as many remotes as I do lights.
