SOLD: Olight M3XS-UT with dedomed 219C

Sold

The Olight M3XS-UT needs little introduction. It’s known for two things: throw, and horrible green tint. This one has its throw improved a little and its tint improved a lot.

I measured 950m with the original dedomed XP-L and 985m with the 219C. I expected a little more increase with the 219C, but it didn’t happen. What it did change a lot is the tint. It’s slightly warmer - I’d say a little under 4000K, but the big story is the lack of green.
This tint is best described as “bright tan”, if that makes any sense.

This thing cuts through fog like no other thrower I’ve seen. The original box and all accessories are included.
Price is $89 Paypal net and includes shipping by USPS within the US.

Good luck selling this. I think the change of tint alone is worth losing some distance on this light.

I agree… but you don’t lose throw. You gain a little.

I’m sure you lose some lumens, but throwers aren’t about the lumens.

Sweet Hunting Light! Specially in not so perfectly pristine weather which is usually the case when I hunt!! :frowning: Good Luck with your sale!! :+1:

I thought you stated in the original post you didn’t get an increase. I assumed you wouldn’t myself since the xpl out throws the 219c or am I mistaken?

I got an increase, it just wasn’t as large as I had expected. A domed 219C out-throws a domed XP-L by a considerable amount. My Jetbeam T6, for example went from 736m throw to 970 when I replaced the XP-Ls with 219Cs, and those were D280s. Dedomed, the difference seems to be minimal.

I am humbled in my ignorance…hey, that might be my new signature line

I get 164 KCd (811m) in my M3X UT with dedomed 219C 4000K and two Panasonic 18500.

It is a great light!

You started with a 4000K 219C? What’s the tint like now?

Tint didn’t change to my eyes after dedome. I used a razor blade.

Ahh, shaving the dome usually doesn’t change the tint much. I used a solvent, and the 5000K emitter became more like 4000K.

Price dropped. I’m just about giving it away at this price.

What did the throw increase to?

I don’t know how I left that out of the original post. 985m, up from the original 950. Both were measured with somewhat crude equipment (a smartphone’s luxmeter calibrated using several factory lights that have been reviewed by people with proper meters), but I’m pretty confident in its ability to show relative differences accurately.

Price drop. $89.
